Abstract
Xiandu Mountain (仙都山) in Jinyun County (縉雲縣), Zhejiang Province, is a famous Daoist "cave of blessedness"(洞天福地), and the legend of Huangdi's ascent (黃帝升仙傳說) is one key basis for the special connotations that Xiandu Mountain carries in Daoist geography. There is no lack of records of the sacred spaces on Xiandu Mountain in historical documents, Daoist scriptures, and writings of the literati. A multitude of theological connotations connected to Xiandu Mountain in Daoist geography are worthy of investigation and study from the perspective of Daoist beliefs.
