Korea Journal is an open access journal. All the articles of the journal are distributed and used under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonDerivative License (CC-BY-ND), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the articles are cited appropriately, whereas they may not be altered, transformed, or serve as the basis for a derivative work. To reuse parts or all the contents of the published articles in other books or media for scholarly, educational, or even commercial purposes, the process of permission request to the publisher is not necessary. However, the work may be redistributed as a derivative work (such as translations) by none but the author(s). All contents of the journal are available immediately upon publication without embargo period. ※ As for the creative commons license, there have been changes in policy. The journal was changed to an open access journal under a CC-BY-NC-ND license in 2020. Since 2023, however, a CC-BY-ND license has been newly applied to the journal.
The publication costs for Korea Journal are covered by the Academy of Korean Studies, so authors do not need to pay an article-processing charge.
