본 연구는 2014년부터 2018년까지 최근 5년간 미국에서 발표된 도서관학 및 정보과학 분야 학위논문의 연구 동향을 파악하기 위해 PQDT Global 데이터베이스에 수록된 1,016편의 박사학위 논문을 수집하여 각 논문의 관련 학문 분야를 나타내는 분야명들을 추출하고 네트워크 분석을 통해 분야명 간의 관계와 네트워크 전반에 걸쳐 다른 분야들과 관계가 있는 전역중심성이 높은 분야명을 파악하는 것과 동시에 군집분석을 통해 연관성 높은 분야명들이 어떠한 군집을 형성하는지, 각 군집 안에서 지역중심성이 높은 분야명들은 어떤 것들인지 살펴보았다. 103개 핵심 분야명 키워드를 이용한 네트워크 분석 결과 최근 5년간 미국의 도서관학 및 정보과학 분야 박사학위 논문의 관련 학문분야로는 컴퓨터 관련 분야, 교육 관련 분야, 커뮤니케이션 관련 분야 외에도 다양한 이용자 집단에 관한 연구와 정보시스템 관련 분야 등을 포함하여 26개의 군집을 형성하는 것으로 나타났다. 26개 군집들 중 정보과학을 중심으로 하는 군집에는 컴퓨터 관련 학문 분야명들이 다수 포함되었고, 도서관학을 중심으로 하는 군집에는 대부분 교육 관련 분야명들이 포함되었으며, 그 외에도 이용자 연구와 관련하여 특정 이용자 그룹과 관련된 젠더연구 분야나 정보시스템과 관련하여 경영학, 지리학, 의공학 등 다양한 학문 분야와 연관되어 있음을 알 수 있다.
Abstract
The study examines the research trends of doctoral dissertations in Library Science and Information Science published in the U.S. for the last 5 years. Data collected from PQDT Global includes 1,016 doctoral dissertations containing “Library Science” or “Information Science” as subject headings, and keywords extracted from those dissertations were used for a network analysis, which helps identifying the intellectual structure of the dissertations. Also, the analysis using 103 subject heading keywords resulted in various centrality measures, including triangle betweenness centrality and nearest neighbor centrality, as well as 26 clusters of associated subject headings. The most frequently studied subjects include computer-related subjects, education-related subjects, and communication-related subjects, and a cluster with information science as the most central subject contains most of the computer-related keywords, while a cluster with library science as the most central subject contains many of the education-related keywords. Other related subjects include various user groups for user studies, and subjects related to information systems such as management, economics, geography, and biomedical engineering.

학교도서관은 정보자원을 기반으로 다양한 교육활동을 통해 학교의 교육목적 달성을 지원하는 기관으로 자원과 이용자를 연결하기 위해서는 교과교사의 인식이 중요하다. 그러나 지금까지 대부분의 연구는 사서교사의 자기인식을 바탕으로 진행되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 교과교사의 학교도서관 프로그램과 협력수업 경험이 학교도서관 역할과 사서교사의 전문성 인식에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 서울․경기 지역의 국․공립 고등학교 8개교의 교과교사 78명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 그 결과는 요인분석과 회귀분석의 분석 방법을 포함하여 통계적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 교과교사의 프로그램과 협력수업 경험은 학교도서관의 정보적․교육적․문화적 역할 인식과 사서교사의 교육지원․도서관 전문성 인식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 학교도서관 현장에서 프로그램과 협력수업 운영 시에 학교도서관 역할과 사서교사 전문성에 대한 교과교사의 인식 개선방안을 제안하였다.
Abstract
A school library is an institution that supports the school’s educational objectives through various educational activities based on information resources, and teachers’ perception is essential to connect resources and users. However, most studies have been conducted based on the self-perception of teacher librarians. This study aims to understand the effect of teachers’ experience of library programs and cooperative classes with the school library on their perception of the school library roles and librarian teachers’ professionalism. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 78 teachers at eight national and public high schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and the results were statistically analyzed using factor analysis and regression. As a result, it was found that the teachers’ experiences affect their perception of the school library’s roles, especially informational, educational, and cultural roles. Also, the teachers’ experiences affect their perception of librarian teachers’ educational support and library expertise. Based on the results, considerations in school library programs and cooperative classes were suggested to improve teachers’ perception of the school library roles and librarian teachers’ professionalism.
