초록

이 글은 장서각 디지털 자료관에 마련된 정보서비스 기능의 다양성 수준이 국내외 가상 디지털 도서관의 수준에 미치지 못함을 양적인 측면에서 분석하였다. 그렇지만 수준 높은 한국학 지식 정보를 제공할 수 있도록 장서각 디지털 자료관의 데이터베이스 설계가 논리적이고 확장이 용이한 구조로 설계되어 있음을 밝혔다. 데이터베이스 설계의 이같은 체계적인 구조를 바탕으로 수준 높은 한국학 지식 정보를 제공하는 정보서비스 기능에 대한 발전 방안을 제안하였다. 데이터베이스 설계의 확장 측면에서 연관 개체를 설정할 것을 제안하였다. 이를 바탕으로 지식 정보 강화 측면에서 저렴한 비용으로 개발할 수 있는 문맥 기반 관련어 사전 기능, 관련 항목 제시 기능(참고문헌, 자료 이용빈도, 참조연계), 이용자가 작성한 SQL 지원 기능 등의 개발 방안을 제안하였다. 정보서비스 이용 환경의 개선 측면에서 이용자 참여를 위한 육성책 추진, 접근점의 다양화 정책 추진, 개인화서비스 기능 개발, 전문가 상담 서비스 정책 추진 등을 시급히 마련 할 것을 제안하였다.특히 지식 정보 강화 측면에서 제안된 정보서비스 기능 발전 방안은 디지털 자료관으로서의 장점을 살리는 것임을 강조하였다.

Abstract

This paper shows that the digital material section at Janseogak falls short of other local and foreign cyber digital libraries in terms of functionaldiversity of its information services. Still, it also shows the structure of Janseogak’s digital material sectionis logically well designed that it could be easily extended to provide an upgraded service for those who want information on Korea studies. Based on the advanced logical structure, this paper proposes ways to improve the section’s functions of offering high-quality information. This paper recommends the sectionbe linked to related entities so that it could utilize its extensibility. Besides, it suggests affordable ways to develop diverse functions aimed at improving the overall quality of its information service. Context-based keyword search, display of search results including related items (for example, references, use frequency, links) and provision of support for user-created SQLs were among those recommendations. In a way to create a user-friendly environment, this paper also proposes ways to encourage user participation, offer diverse access points, developservices tailored to meet individuals’ needs, and providing expert consultations. Particularly, proposals made to upgrade knowledge information were intended to improve the overall functions of the digital material section of Janseogak.
