Call for Papers
The Asian Journal of Business Environment invites submissions of various types.
Research Articles should be of full length research papers to present new or carefully examined findings, with research methods described in detail for verification by other researchers. These articles are peer-reviewed by at least three referees to ensure quality and accuracy.
Short Communications are suitable for small investigations or for giving synoptic details on new theoretical or empirical models, innovative research techniques or research methods. These submissions do not necessarily require to conform to the style of full-length papers and are also peer-reviewed.
Review Articles that cover critical literature reviews and perspectives notes on current topics are welcome and encouraged. These manuscripts undergo peer-review as well.
Case Studies that cover specific and emerging business phenomena are highly encouraged for submission. The journal supports and peer-reviews these studies to ensure high-quality and rigorous analysis.
Overall, the Asian Journal of Business Environment encourages submissions that will enhance knowledge and understanding of current issues in the Asian business environment. The journal welcomes authors from a wide range of disciplines and regions and aims to foster interdisciplinary and cross-cultural research that advances the practice and knowledge in the field.
Submission
To submit a manuscript to the Asian Journal of Business Environment (AJBE), authors must use the AJBE Online Submission platform, which can be accessed at https://www.ajbe.or.kr/ or can be emailed to: https://www.ajbe.or.kr/. Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word format, and authors are advised to include any tables and figures in the main file. Before submission, all manuscripts should be prepared following the AJBE submission guidelines. Additionally, authors are required to submit a letter of attestation along with their manuscript, which confirms that “the article has not been published previously and is not under review elsewhere”. By adhering to these submission requirements, authors can ensure that their manuscript is eligible for consideration by the AJBE editorial team.
Double-Blind Peer Review Policy
AJBE has adopted a double blind peer review policy, where both the referee and the author remain anonymous throughout the process. Please remove all identifying features from the main document itself, ensuring that Authors' identities are not revealed. However, this does not preclude Authors from citing their own previous works, although Authors must cite their works in a manner that does not make explicit their identity. All contributions will be initially assessed by the Editor-in-Chief for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then typically sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of the articles. The Editor-in-Chief's decision is final.
Copyright Policy
After publication of an article, the copyright of the article transfers and belongs to the Author(s).
Article Content Selection Policy
As the title of the Asian Journal of Business Environment indicates, the AJBE Editorial Board gives priority to the research areas of business environment in Asia. The content of the paper must include issues, factors, and/or activities directly associated with business environment in a specific country or countries in Asia.
Self-Citation Restriction Policy
The self-citation refers to when an author refers to the previous work written by him/her alone or in co-authorship and cites it. Self-cites are used to compare current results of the research with earlier findings when continuing to study the same subject. It seems that the only reasonable solution for the issues of self-plagiarism, research integrity, and originality is to limit the number of self-citations. AJBE Self-Citation Restriction Policy regulates that the self-citation level should not exceed 10% for an author, 20% for co-authors together, and 15% for AJBE. If the reference checker (software) finds that this rule has been broken, then the manuscript will be automatically rejected by the Desk Editor without further review.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
AJBE Editorial Board respects and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion by accepting submissions only on the basis of research and scholarly merit and integrity without considering race, ethnicity, nationality, citizenship, gender, religion, or financial means.
Bioethics: Research Involving Human Participants or Animal Subjects
Studies that involve human subjects, including behavioural experiments, clinical experiments, and surveys, must show evidence of having followed guidelines and relevant laws of ethical treatment of research subjects and obtain approval of the Institutional Review Board. Authors should also ensure participant anonymity and obtain informed consent for participation and publication. Studies involving animal subjects are expected to follow the 3R principle (https://www.bfr.bund.de/). Namely, whenever possible, avoid using animal subjects (Replacement), limit the number of animals used (Reduction), and minimize the sufferings of animals (Refinement).
