Creative Commons License (CCL)

Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia applies the CC BY-NC-ND license regarding the reuse of research articles, and the terms and conditions of the license are as follows.

Under the CC BY-NC-ND license that Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia applies, users are permitted to freely reuse the journal’s articles. Specifically, users are allowed to copy and distribute the material in any medium or format in unadapted form only, for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator.

Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia had applied the CC BY-NC-ND license since , but it has changed to the CC BY-NC-ND license since 27/09/2023



Copyright Policy
For articles published in Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia, the authors retain the copyright, but the authors must agree to transfer partial rights to World Association for Triple Helix and Future Strategy Studies. As specified in the 'Copyright Transfer Agreement (Hyperlink)', World Association for Triple Helix and Future Strategy Studies is granted limited rights regarding the articles.

Self-Archiving policy

The author(s) are permitted to self-archive Pre-print, Post-print version of the article published in Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia

Article Processing Charge (APC policy)
The charge paid for an article that is accepted for open access publication in Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia is $100 .

- $200 is added for articles with an acknowledgement section.
- Based on the final edited version, the number of pages(1 ~ 20) should not be exceeded.

If an author that meets the following requirements submits an article, the article processing charge (APC) may be reduced.

Associate Editors of JCEA is APC waivers
- Invited (internationally renowned) scholars is APC waivers



Journal archiving and dissemination websites

Articles of Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia are perpetually preserved and available on Journal Repository, AccessON and ScienceON.
