Objectives : Anemia is the center of interest in every maternity during the pregnancy and the lactation. The oriental postpartum care have one principle that invigorate Qi(氣) and blood(血) greatly, we are confirming that most anemia recover during the oriental postpartum care by this way. For assure this study have significant in non iron supplement, we make a comparative study between oral iron supplement and non iron supplement groups in the oriental postpartum care.Methods : A comparative study was conducted to concerning the difference in hemoglobin change between admission and after 2weeks under the circumstances of 30 oral iron supplemented and 38 non iron supplemented women who admitted a hospital attached to Woosuk University Oriental Medical College from 2001. 4 to 2001. 8. for postpartum care.Results : It was appeared that the mean hemoglobin level of after 2 weeks was 11.95mg% (p<0.001). And the mean hemoglobin level of after 2 weeks was each 11.65 mg%, 12.18mg% in iron supplemented and non iron supplemented women. The difference between two groups is non significant. conclusions : The oriental postpartum care recover anemia significantly in postpartum maternity. This is confirmed significantly under the non iron supplement.
