Ankyloglossia or tongue tie is a congenital anomaly of the tongue characterized by a short lingual frenulum which may result in restriction of tongue movement or speech articulation problems. Ankyloglossia can lead to various problems, such as difficulties in breastfeeding in infants, maternal pain, and poor oral hygiene. Tongue tie can be treated with surgical modalities include frenotomy or frenectomy. In addition to surgical intervention, LASER therapy using a local anesthetic have been described. This case is about an ankyloglossia treatment using Er;YSGG laser.
