Abstract

Purpose - By suggesting relational distance between supervisor and subordinate, this study examines the boundary condition of the impact of transformational leadership and organizational commitment in Korea. Research design, data, and methodology - We collected survey data from employees in various industries in Korea. A total of 241 employees participated in this study. We conducted the hierarchical linear regression and confirmed moderating effects of relational distances (democratic, structural and affective distance) on the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment. Result - The results from 241 Korean employees show that transformational leadership is positively related to organizational commitment. Further, this relationship was moderated by structural distance and affective distance between supervisor and subordinate. Conclusion - This study shed new light on how exercising transformational leadership can help raise employees' organizational commitment. Organizations should be concerned about the various relational distance between supervisor and subordinate.

Abstract

Purpose – O2O (online to off-line) is a new economic concept being emerged in the 4th industrial age. Automobile distribution is also undergoing a change to the O2O system. In overseas, vehicles are already being sold through various online platforms. The purpose of this study is to analyze the domestic and foreign automobile distribution structure and intends to suggest the desirable direction of automobile sales in the 4th industrial age. Research design, data, and methodology – Through the investigation of previous studies and the actual cases, the advantages and disadvantages and trends of different types of automobile distribution structures. Result – It can be seen that domestic and foreign automobile brands have quite diverse distribution structures such as direct managed system, agency system, dealer system, direct sales system, online system and online/offline parallel system. Each type has its own characteristics. Conclusion – The distribution structure of automobiles is very diverse, and in particular, it is rapidly changing to an online sales system thanks to the development of information and communication technology and Internet technology and the popularization of smartphones. Abstract

Purpose - "Higher education of vocational education focuses on Discipline competition" This is the requirement of the education sector in China for the Application-oriented Undergraduate in the 21st century. As an integral part of Higher education vocational education, Discipline competition is not only an effective way to test the higher education reform of the Application-oriented Undergraduate, but also a measure of the level of Application-oriented Undergraduate. Research design, data, and methodology - The study conducted a survey on SPSS 24.0 Through factor analysis of 192 questionnaires data. After empirically analyzing the data, we found that the factors can be classified into four main factors. Result - This study shows that in terms of gender, boys are more susceptible to external factors and time factors while girls are more vulnerable to internal factors. And girls are more susceptible to internal factors. In terms of professional categories, non-teacher students are more likely to be hindered by external factors such as missing entry information. Conclusion - This paper assumes that there are significant differences in internal promotion and barriers in different disciplines competition.

Abstract

Purpose - International diversification, a critical issue in research and practice, undoubtedly represents a growth strategy with great potential impact on firm performance. Although the literature has widely examined the relationship between international diversification and firm performance in international business and strategic management research, it remains unconfirmed. This study, therefore, aims to clarify the relationship as it relates to information service firms. Research design, data and methodology - To examine the international diversification-performance relationship, this study uses a sample of major Korean service firms spread over four industries spanning a period of five years between 2005 and 2009. In this study. generalized least square was used to analyze the relationship between international diversification and performance of service firms. Result - The result showed the U-shaped curvilinear form between international diversification and performance in service firms. Especially, IT service firms may differ from other service firms that the negative effect of internationality may have weaker than other types of service firm. Conclusion - Based on the empirical results, the U-shape relationship between international diversification and performance is confirmed in Korea service firms. Furthermore, information service firm may reduce the initial internationalization cost by transferring codified and digitized information using information and communication technology, so that gain benefit from early international expansion.
