Abstract

Purpose: PBM is emerging as a major management system for securing corporate productivity and enhancing competitiveness, and various studies are being conducted. The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends published in KCI-listed journals and papers since 1999 to understand the current status of research and provide basic data for more extensive research and development of performance management in the future. Research design, data and methodology: A detailed examination of research trends was conducted through the analysis of abstracts from 154 research papers on PBM. To facilitate a comprehensive analysis of these trends, LDA topic modelling was employed. Results: First, it should be noted that research on PBM is not limited to the area of HRM. Instead, PBM research is expanding to encompass comprehensive personnel systems. Second, the results of topic modeling analysis show that although the initial focus of research was on human resource management, there is now a growing interest in fairness and organizational culture in the entire organization. Conclusions: PBM is becoming a dominant paradigm as it shifts from HR systems to organizational fairness and culture. This suggests that future research should consider both quantitative and qualitative aspects of PBM to improve corporate performance while prioritizing organizational fairness and culture.

Abstract

Purpose: The effectiveness of research ethics education in enabling researchers to think and judge ethically in conducting research. It is a fundamental solution for the establishment of research ethics in the research field, not only for current researchers but also for the next generation. It measured various variables related to ethics that can lead to ethical behavior through a quasiexperimental design to support the reliability of the study. Research Design, data and methodology: Examine prior research on research ethics and explore current research ethics education and practice. It aims to study how to effectively implement and validate specific aspects of research ethics. To investigate, study, and validate research ethics education and research ethics systems. Results: It is defined as the effectiveness or value of training as measured by changes in knowledge and behavior in reaction, learning, behavior, and outcome evaluations measured after learning. Conclusions: For the effectiveness of research ethics education, various support measures need to be mobilized for the spread and establishment of research ethics education. Formalized and continuous research ethics education is needed. It is important that the knowledge acquired through long-term and consistent research ethics training is transferred to ethical behavior in the research field.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to investigate and identify the current awareness of plagiarism among university students in their assignments and find ways to take measures against it. This study can be used as a basis for plagiarism prevention education for instructors and learners at universities, as well as for providing standards for plagiarism in assignment design and for dealing with distrust and conflict among students due to plagiarism. Research design, data and methodology: This study was conducted in July 2024 with a survey of 347 students majoring in aviation and tourism at a university in the Chungcheong-do region. In order to investigate the current status and perception of plagiarism in college students' class work, this study referred to previous studies on plagiarism among college students and conducted a questionnaire consisting of 22 questions, including 3 questions on general matters, 7 questions on plagiarism perception, 5 questions on reasons for plagiarism, and 7 questions on research ethics experience. Results: In the survey results through this study, it was found that most of the university students were aware of the concept of plagiarism, but more students were unable to accurately distinguish the recognition of specific content such as citations. The reason for plagiarism in assignments was found to be the easiest to use Internet data. Regarding the research ethics experience, it was found that most of the students lacked experience at school or during class.

Abstract

Purpose: The internet, as a tool, avenue, and field, has wide-researching and specific ethical concerns. Internet-based research ethics is a field that spreads across numerous fields, scoping from natural and biomedical sciences to social sciences, and arts and humanities. Thus, this study which investigates research ethics within an Internet-based Research Setting will be quite valuable. Research design, data and methodology: The current authors widely took a look at prior and present literature dataset to explore research ethics within an Internet-based setting. Using numerous search engine, such as ‘Goole Scholar’, ‘Scopus’, and ‘Web of Science’, the current authors could obtain total 42 prior studies that are relevant with our research topic. Results: Based on the screening process in the literature datasets, this study could categorize four areas of the research ethics within Internet-based research setting as follows: (1) Human Subjects Ethics, (2) Big Data Ethical Issues, (3) Research Ethics and Cloud, and (4) Computing Interviews and Surveys Ethics. Conclusions: This study concludes that although internet-based research has many benefits, the accompanying ethical issues are many. The lack of uniformity in the concept and terminology of online research methods typically brings forth confusion and makes it hard for new researchers to develop mutual guidelines.
