The "Journal of Species Research" is the international academic journal of the National Institute of Biological Resources (NIBR) and published quarterly on 28 February, 31 May, 31 August, 30 November

The "Journal of Species Research" publishes peer-reviewed, original research papers, reviews, reports, and notes covering all aspects of taxonomy and biological diversity of all kinds of organisms. The journal encourages submission of papers relating to systematics, taxonomic monograph, revision of a species, flora/fauna of the local habitats, and species list in overseas surveys.
