Abstract

The experiment was performed to analyze the intersectional ventilation efficiency by intersection structure and Jet Fan in network-form road tunnel. For this, the size of real road tunnel was reduced by 1/45. To apply traffic inertia force when driving, blower fan was used to form an airflow in model tunnel and the intersectional efficiency was also investigated by measuring the speed at local point of the tunnel. To improve the reduction of ventilation caused by the structure character, Jet Fan was installed to optimize ventilation efficiency in tunnel.

Abstract

In this study, research was performed to establish the measurement and frequency of analysis for maintenance monitoring by investigation of tunnel maintenance monitoring system in the tunnel which was installed in the Seoul metro line 5, 7 and 8, using that the domestic and foreign application case, results of analyzed maintenance monitoring in the domestic tunnel and legal safety management standard of the facility. The results of the monitoring management about analysis frequency to the present are considered that the problem about measuring frequency does not occur. According to the analysis results of the maintenance monitoring which are located on the 5, 6th subway line, they are analyzed that the stress of concrete lining and reinforced bar are converged gradually after 45 months. Therefore Monitoring of measurement and analysis frequency is conduct more often within about 4 years after the measuring instrument installation. Four years later, slowing the frequency of measurement is considered reasonable.

Abstract

In this study, the numerical analysis has been conducted in order to check behavior characteristics of liner plate made of corrugated steel from urban small sized tunnel excavation. The analysis was conducted with five kinds of conditions like 5 m, 10 m, 15 m, 20 m and 25 m to examine the behavior characteristics of liner plate according to the depth of cover. Analysis results showed that the maximum axial stress and the maximum displacement occurs in the lower end of the member, and the maximum shear stress occurs in the upper part of the member. Also, change of displacement, stress shearing stress of liner plate based on various depth of cover are existed, but the difference is slight, and by increasing depth of cover, structural stability is gradually ensured.

Abstract

For the application TBM tunneling method, Both tunnel design standard and case study designed & constructed in domestic and foreign have been conducted. According to the study, the number of lane and inner shape (single or duplex) vary depending on the volume of traffic. Also extra space located in the top and bottom of tunnel is used for a multipurpose such as ventilation, disaster prevention, maintenance and administration. To find area ratio according to the components of road TBM tunnel, a standard section was considered as a two-lane road. Then, the analysis of area ratio of this section which consists of components for clearance, extra space in upper and lower tunnel was carried on two widths of shoulder. In addition, after a structural analysis, a thickness requirement of lower slab which is essential for road tunnel was derived on a few supporting types. Through correlation analysis, the ranges of available cross-sectional area between slab thickness and lower extra space of the tunnel was presented.
