In this study a highly significant relief was found in patients i.e. p<0.001 due to Virechana mainly vitiated Pitta Dosha (the heat energy in the body) and secondary Kapha dosha (mucus) and Vata Dosha (subtle energy associated with movement) are being expelled out which might have accounted for better relief in Virechan Yogya (indicated) individuals (Pitta Pradhan Vyadhi (vitiated pitta), Raktaj Roga (hemopoietic diseases), Shodhan Yogya Avastha (detoxification), etc.) in the above group of patients.
