한국의 임상심리학이 성장을 거듭함에 따라 교육 및 수련 제도에 대해 현행 보다 표준화된 질적 관리가 필요하다는 인식이 대두되고 있다. 표준화된 제도를 위해서는 역량에 기반한 교육과정 논의가 선행될 필요가 있어 보인다. 그러나 임상심리전문가의 역량에 대해 조사한 국내 연구 및 논문이 전무한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 임상심리전문가의 핵심 역량을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 임상심리전문가가 재직하는 기관을 조사한 후 각 기관에서 임상심리전문가를 선발하고 평가할 수 있는 직급의 조직 내부 전문가 9명을 선발하여 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 개인적․문화적 다양성, 개입, 다학제간․다영역간 협력, 심리평가, 연구, 윤리 및 직업적 가치, 지도․감독 총 7개의 역량군이 도출되었다. 역량군에 대한 분석과 함께 도출된 역량과 관련된 쟁점 및 시사점에 대해 논의하였다. 주요 쟁점은 각 역량에 대한 현 한국사회에서의 한계 및 요구와 관련되어 있었고, 이를 위한 제도적 개선에 대해서도 논의하였다.
As clinical psychology continues to grow in Korea, recognition is growing that more standardized and qualitative management of education and training systems is needed. For a standardized system, the curriculum must be first discussed on the basis of competency. However, no domestic studies examined the competency of clinical psychologists. Therefore, this study identified, the core competencies of clinical psychologists. To this end, after researching the institutions at which clinical psychologists work, focus group interviews were conducted with nine internal experts who could select and evaluate clinical psychologists at each institution. Consequently, seven competency groups were derived: personal and cultural diversity, intervention/interdisciplinary cooperation, psychological evaluation, research, ethics and professional values, and supervision. Along with an analysis of each competency group, issues and implications related to the competency derived are discussed. The main issues were related to the limitations and demands of current Korean society for each competency, and institutional improvements are also discussed.
