Effects of Taeyeumjowee-tang on Loss in Body weight, Plasma Lipids and UCP I Revelation of Fated White Rats

Abstract

Objectives : To identify the effect of Taeyeumjowee-tang on the obesity treatment Methods : After having been fed with high-fat diet for 6 weeks, the obese white rats were classified into three control groups.: Control group 1 has been continuously fed high-fat diet for 2 weeks. Control group 2 has been fed normal diet for 2 weeks. And the Sample group has been fed Taeyeumjowee-tang extract with normal diet for 2 weeks.The result of the comparison among the three groups is as follows. Results : The Sample group decreased significantly as compared with the Control 1, 2 group in changes of the body weight, fat cell size, fat accumulation, insulin, triglyceride, total cholesterol, total lipid, free fatty acid and UCP1. Conclusions : Taeyeumjowee-tang takes enough effect on the treatment of obesity resulted from high-fat diet. Especially it is a sure remedy for Control group 2 that has been normally fed after high-fat diet.
