Abstract
A sensitive and easy high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) / electrospray ionization (ESI)-mass spectrometric (MS) method has been developed for the quantitative and qualitative analyses of acarbose and its metabolites. After plasma samples were simply filtered with a syringe filter, the filtered plasma was analyzed by LC/MS. The standard calibration curve for acarbose was linear (<TEX>$r^2
