Abstract

Purpose- The purpose of this study is to increase the effect of public technology transfer through government R&D support to secure the competitiveness of public technology startups. The government's R&D budget in 2019 is over 20 trillion won, and there is a legitimate need to increase the performance of technology startups through such R&D results. Research design, data, and methodology- In this paper, we comprehensively analyzed the current status of public research institutes and R&D support projects suitable for founders and analyzed and presented cases of follow-up research conducted by the Institute of Science and Technology Jobs to analyze actual performance cases of R&D support institutes. Results- In this conclusion, a developmental model of public technology entrepreneurship was proposed to increase the performance of public technology commercialization with the scalability of research institutions. In order to create a public technology information system between consumers and suppliers, a Steinweiss-type technology commercialization model for public technology commercialization, and a job-creating enterprise-type linkage R&D support business model were presented to create the results of R&D support organizations. Conclusions- Through the results of this study, it is meaningful to analyze the performance cases of technology commercialization of R&D support institutions, which have not been studied so far, to build competitiveness of research institutions and to present a growth model for the spread of technology startups. This study has implications in terms of suggesting a way to build competitiveness in technology commercialization between market demanders and suppliers by linking existing public technology startups, which deviated from the simple commercialization support system, with job creation by expanding the R&D support system.

Abstract

Purpose - This study is aiming to provide policy makers with new insights to promote the consumption of locally-grown produces in the HMR industry by exploring what kinds of policies Japan, UK and Italy have developed. Research design - After introduction, the research starts to review the existing literature related to the promotion of local produce consumption, and then, compares the policies introduced by the above countries. Finally, the authors draw conclusions on the basis of research findings. Results - Firstly, central government has to collaborate with local authorities to promote local food consumption in the HMR industry. Secondly, countries have strengthened food label system to enhance local food consumption, in terms of country of origin. Thirdly, all of nations has highlighted food safety to protect customers. Fourthly, the government has created the business environment forcing HMR operators and retailers to follow the government's policy. Fifthly, it is necessary to support the social communities to enhance their social responsibility, from the government's point of view. Lastly, the social responsibility and the ethical administration of retailers should be sustainably strengthened by social atmosphere. Conclusions - In line with the growth of HMR products, governments have to make a considerable effort to develop innovative methods to promote local food consumption in the HMR industry.

Abstract

Purpose - This study is aiming to understand the critical role of employees' organizational citizenship behavior in evaluation of employee service quality. This paper examined what emotional intelligence and empowerment affect to their organizational citizenship behavior and service quality. Research design - Data were collected by questionnaires through specialized hospital services. Survey was conducted on patients who have been treated at a spine specialized hospital. Results - Emotional intelligence and empowerment have direct effects on organizational citizenship. Service quality is a function of organizational citizenship. The results showed that emotional and motivated capabilities of individuals influenced organizational citizenship behavior. Managerially, this study contributes to the understanding of the role of organizational citizenship behavior in service sector. Conclusions - The relationship between service quality and organizational citizenship behavior and also examined the effect of combination of creative and voluntary behavioral attributes such as emotional intelligence and psychological empowerment have on voluntary organizational citizenship behavior. The results showed that in order to induce organizational citizenship behavior, emotional intelligence should be facilitated and empowerment enlarged.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to clarify the concept of entrepreneurial leadership by reviewing the relevant existing studies, and to examine changes in entrepreneurial leadership research through review and statistical analysis on the articles published in Korean and international journals. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: Among the papers published between 2010 and 2020, 8 Korean studies and 42 international studies (UK and US) that clearly identify entrepreneurial leadership as research topic were analyzed. Results: Examinations on the yearly trends, keywords, and research methods reveal that research on entrepreneurial leadership is increasing recently with the emphasis on the statistical analysis. Keyword analysis shows high frequency of team and innovation for domestic research, while overseas research focuses on entrepreneurship, leadership, and gender associated keywords. Conclusions: This study has confirmed that overseas studies employ various methodologies, focusing on statistical analysis and that the effect of entrepreneurial leadership are in progress. For domestic cases, studies on entrepreneurial leadership are limited in number. Research topics and methods are areas that need further improvements. Research on entrepreneurial leadership has recently begun, requiring diversity in the subjects and methods for future development
