Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is identifying the research trends of degree papers related to the beauty industry and providing information which can contribute to the development of the domestic beauty industry and the direction of various research about beauty industry. Research design, data and methodology: This study used 154 academic papers and 189 academic papers with English abstracts out of 299 academic papers. All of these papers were found by searching for the keyword "beauty industry" in ScienceON on August 15, 2022. For the analysis, BERTopic and LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation) analysis were conducted using Python 3.7. Also, OLS regression analysis was conducted to understand the annual increase and decrease trend of each topic derived with trend analysis. Results: As a result of word frequency analysis, the frequency of satisfaction, management, behavior, and service was found to be high. In addition, it was found that 'service', 'satisfaction' and 'customer' were frequently associated with program and relationship in the word co-occurrence frequency analysis. As a result of topic modeling, six topics were derived: 'Beauty shop', 'Health education', 'Cosmetics', 'Customer satisfaction', 'Beauty education', and 'Beauty business'. The trend analysis result of each topic confirmed that 'Beauty education' and 'Health education' are getting more attention as time goes by. Conclusions: The future studies must resolve the extreme polarization between the structure of the small beauty industry and beauty stores. Furthermore, the researches have to direct various ways to create the performance of internal personnel. The ways to maximize product capabilities such as competitive cosmetics and brands are also needed attentions.

Abstract

Purpose: This research investigates the differences in knowledge exchange activities and performances between startups and large companies in software industry clusters. Research design, data, and methodology: Six independent factors of human resource information, R&D and technology, marketing knowledge, government support information, strategic knowledge, and cooperation information were extracted to test the firm size effect in the relationships with two performance factors such as satisfaction with industry cluster location and satisfaction with financial performances. Data were collected through a survey of entrepreneurs, managers, and employees and tested by statistical analysis methodologies. Results: Three independent factors of human resource information, R&D and technology, and cooperation information were particularly significant in the relationship with both dependent factors. Strategic knowledge significantly affected financial performance. Knowledge exchange activities were more important in startups than in large companies for all eight factors. Conclusion: Policies for software industry clusters need a different approach for startups and large companies.

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes advanced cases of overseas smart cities and examines policy implications related to the creation of smart cities in Korea. Research design, data, and methodology: Analysis standards were established through the analysis of best practices. Analysis criteria include Technology, Privacy, Security, and Governance. Results: In terms of technology, U-City construction experience and communication infrastructure are strengths. Korea's ICT technology is inferior to major countries. On the other hand, mobile communication, IoT, Internet, and public data are at the highest level. The privacy section created six principles: legality, purpose limitation, transparency, safety, control, and accountability. Security issues enable urban crime, disaster and catastrophe prediction and security through the establishment of an integrated platform. Governance issues are handled by the Smart Special Committee, which serves as policy advisory to the central government for legal system, standardization, and external cooperation in the district. Conclusions: Private technology improvement and participation are necessary for privacy and urban security. Citizens should participate in smart city governance.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to derive various ways to realize customer satisfaction for the development of the service industry by exploring research trends related to customer satisfaction, which is presented as an important goal in the service industry. Research design, data and methodology: To this end, 1,456 papers with English abstracts using scienceON were used for analysis. Using Python 3.7, word frequency and co-occurrence analysis were confirmed, and topics related to research trends were classified through BERTopic and LDA. Results: As a result of word frequency and co-occurrence frequency analysis, words such as quality, intention, and loyalty appeared frequently. As a result of BERTopic and LDA, 11 topics such as 'catering service' and 'brand justice' were derived. As a result of trend analysis, it was confirmed that 'brand justice' and 'internet shopping' are emerging as relatively important research topics, but CRM is less interested. Conclusions: The results of this study showed that the 7P marketing strategy is working to some extent. Therefore, it is proposed to conduct research related to acquisition of good customers through service price, customer lifetime value application, and customer segmentation that are expected to be needed for the development of the service industry.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to look at the current status and cases of ESG at home and abroad, and through this, seek ways to activate the ESG strategy of domestic SMEs and suggest a direction. Research design, data and methodology: This study examines the current status of ESG management at home and abroad and examples of companies through related literature on ESG management and performance. Through this, the strategic direction of ESG management of domestic SMEs was presented. Results: Compared to the government and major corporations, SMEs can be said to lack ESG management activities. ESG activities include environmental activities such as carbon neutrality, waste management, eco-friendly supply chain management, establishment of safety and health processes to improve workers' environment, expansion of governance to guarantee autonomy and profitability such as fair trade, protection of social and shareholder rights such as anti-corruption, etc. should be based on Therefore, there are difficulties in ESG activities of SMEs that lack funds and manpower. Abstract

Purpose: This study explored the relationship between product characteristics and customer purchase intention in cross-border online shopping. Research design, data, and methodology: Through literature review, the research model of product characteristics and consumers' purchase intention is constructed, and trust is taken as a medium variable. Based on the survey data of Chinese consumers, empirical analysis and hypothesis verification are conducted. This study used SPSS version 21 to confirm the reliability and validity of the research model. To confirm the media effect of the model in this study, the Sobel Test was used. Results: The results of hypothesis identification of this research model showed that 8 of the 11 hypotheses were adopted and 3 were rejected. Results confirmed the relationship between product characteristics (specification, diversity, reputation, novelty, quality) and customer purchase intention. Conclusions: The result from this study had particular theoretical significance for improving the research on cross-border online shopping systems to improve the safety and satisfaction of customers in cross-border online shopping.
