Abstract

Purpose: This research aimed at understanding the dynamics of consumer behavior in the context of nostalgic desserts. The primary objective is to scrutinize how different attributes like quality, health, convenience, and trend influence customer satisfaction and their subsequent decision to repurchase nostalgic desserts. Research Method: The study leverages structural equation modeling, incorporating statistical tools such as SPSS and AMOS for a thorough analysis. It involves collecting data over a specified period, followed by correlation and trend analyses to deduce patterns and relationships. Results: The findings reveal that attributes such as quality, health, convenience, and trend significantly impact customer satisfaction and repurchase intentions. Interestingly, economic factors appeared to have a negligible effect on these decisions. The study offers a comprehensive understanding of the factors that influence consumer decisions in the context of nostalgic desserts, providing valuable implications for both academic research and practical marketing strategies. Conclusions: The insights garnered from this research are pivotal for formulating marketing strategies for nostalgic dessert brands. It underscores the importance of accentuating quality, health, and trend in product offerings to boost customer satisfaction and encourage repurchases. The study also sheds light on the evolving nature of consumer preferences and the integral role of nostalgia in shaping purchasing behaviors.

Abstract

Purpose: This study focuses on the Chinese smartphone market to estimate product attributes influencing Chinese customers’ preference for developing new smartphones through conjoint analysis. Research design, data and methodology: The online questionnaire survey is processed among Chinese potential smartphone customers. Conjoint analysis including traditional conjoint analysis (TCA) and choice-based conjoint analysis (CBCA), is used to analyze the useful data of 500. Results: Results indicate that price is the most important predictor while screen size is the least for Chinese customers’ preference whether the method is TCA or CBCA. However, the importance of brand, capacity, CPU, and screen design is different. Moreover, based on each smartphone attribute level’s utility, the new products with the best combinations are different compared with both methods. Finally, the predicted market shares of the top 3 products are the same with maximum utility rule model between TCA and CBCA. However, when considering with the new best combined product, they are significantly different. Conclusions: Managers should recognize the differences between TCA and CBCA and select the best method to develop new smartphones for sustainable business in the Chinese competitive market based on the important attributes of price, brand, capacity, CPU, screen design, and size.

Abstract

Purpose: Electronic vehicles (EV) consumption become more prevalent among Vietnamese consumers. This paper aims to empirically assess the determinants of EV purchase intention among Vietnamese consumers. The research findings are expected to promote the consumption of electric vehicles in Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: The quantitative research approach employed the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The sample size includes 301 respodents. Research design unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and UTAUT2. The data collection process employ the non-probability sampling. Questionaire survey consists of 24 questions given to respondents via Google Form link. Data is processed by SPSS version 20 software. Results: The results proposed 04 determinants of the intention to buy electric vehicles: Government Support, Environmental Concern, Price Value, and Performance. Conclusions: Theorectical implications and managerial implications are also discussed to promote the consumption of electronic vehicles in Vietnam. Besides, the findings show that Price value, Environmental Concern and Performance positively affect the purchase intention of EV among Vietnamese consumers. Remarkably, Government Support is proven to be an insignificant factor in EV purchase intention. The call for further research rely on the role of government support in order to promote EV consumption in Vietnam and other emerging markets worldwide

Abstract

Purpose: Employees in the beauty industry, where emotional labor is essential, are exhausted due to stress from excessive working hours and low pay, and ultimately consider changing jobs. This study analyzed the structural relationship of turnover intention according to job stress of beauty industry employees. We tried to present implications by verifying the methods necessary for conflict management in the beauty industry from an empirical point of view. Research design, data and methodology: This study selected 518 workers in the beauty industry as a sample. Frequency analysis, validity and reliability analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were performed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) WIN23.0. Results: The moderating effect of work experience, a moderating variable, was found to be significant in the effect of job stress of beauty industry employees following changes in the employment environment on the dependent variable, turnover intention. Conclusion: This study revealed that changes in the employment environment negatively affect the job stress of beauty workers. To reduce the job stress of employees in the beauty industry, a systematic response at the organizational level will be necessary. In addition, it is expected that it will help establish differentiated strategies such as compensation system, service training, and service management to reduce job stress.
