Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to explore literature on performance management in order to get insight into how the concept could be optimised during VUCA times for better performance of organisations. Research design, data and methodology: The study adopted a desktop research methodology. Extensive literature review has been conducted from various sources such as journals, research papers, organizational reports, government reports, media reports and articles available on web and effort has been made to assimilate the knowledge body on the topic in the current paper. Literature that enhances understanding on managing performance during VUCA times was reviewed. Results: Solutions to optimise performance management in organisations during VUCA times were proffered and these include innovative planning, innovative monitoring, innovative training and development, innovative rating and innovative rewarding. Conclusions: The study proves that, performance management process should not be done the ordinary way during VUCA times, but innovatively. In this regard innovative performance management can optimise performance of organisations during VUCA period. The study recommends that a further quantitative study be done to test the suitability of each of the proposed ways of innovatively practicing each element of the performance management process across different industries, countries or sector.

Abstract

Purpose: The primary purpose of this research is to investigate the multidisciplinary effect of food delivery apps (FDAs) in urban hotels in the wake of the lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic. Specifically, the study aims: To explore and scrutinize the primary shifts in customer behavior and preferences in modern urban hotels, and to explore and scrutinize the primary shifts in customer behavior and preferences in modern urban hotels. Research design, data and methodology: This study conducted a systematic literature review to gather evidence of the FDA's effect on customer behavior and the hospitality industry during the Covid-19 pandemic. Complying with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) principles guarantees a structured and transparent method to search the literature and its analysis. Results: The result based on the systematic review has indicated that the booming business of food delivery at home companies and changing consumer tastes prove the FDA's growing circuit in the hotel industry, thus demonstrating their ability and power to adapt to changing trends. Conclusions: Therefore, this study concludes that using FDA’s platform, future hospitality managers have to focus on agility in operations, innovation, and technology integration to keep up with changing consumer trends and market conditions.

Abstract

Purpose: The present research encircled on a systematic view of leadership in sports, an area that can be used to boost the skilling of employees. Four specific managerial development tools have been formulated during this research based on relevant materials studied in the previous section. Research design, data and methodology: This research used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) standards to systematically search for, screen, and synthesize relevant past research on using sports leadership principles for team member development. Results: The findings in this research offer four staff leadership development program ideas that are unique and beneficial for firms looking to foster the development of strong leaders. By deploying sport-based principles and methodology, these approaches can solve the limitations of conventional leadership development programs. This will demonstrate how each plan can help HR managers develop the appropriate strategies for their companies. Conclusions: In sum, this research suggests that by incorporating time-honored principles of sports leadership, these models will provide HR managers with an excellent arsenal of tools for developing a generation of leaders endowed with the skills, mindset, and resilience required to ensure the organization's prosperity under the most adverse conditions.

Abstract

Purpose: Arts and cultural management are a field with unique meaning and significance. This study is uniquely based on the focus of arts and cultural management on social and cultural sustainability sets it apart from other related study fields. Through delving into arts and cultural management, one can quickly gain skills vis-à-vis creativity and innovation in traditional and emerging media platforms. Research design, data and methodology: The current researcher relied on the descriptive research design, arriving at and evaluating the findings. The descriptive research design was the most ideal because of the need to evaluate the various literature sources systematically and later describe them without undue influence. Results: This research's core finding of art and cultural management in the current literature may be split up four findings, such as (1) Art and Cultural Management is Fast Embracing Digital Innovations and Related Elements, (2) Data and Analytics in Art and Cultural Management, (3) Interdisciplinary Nature of Arts and Cultural Management Elements, and (4) Arts and Cultural Management Face Numerous Challenges that Define it and its Future. Conclusions: All in all, based on the literature findings, the present research concludes that It is incumbent upon the various stakeholders, such as the government, to prioritize the arts and cultural management field through adequate budgeting and allocation of money.
