This study was conducted for the purpose of suggesting support measures for providing medical library services in Korea by investigating cases of support services provided at U. S. medical school libraries to obtain research grants for users. Suggestions based on the survey results are as follows. First, medical libraries need to support research grant services as an area of research support services. Second, it is necessary to provide various services related to subsidies. Third, there is a librarian in charge of grants services. Fourth, cooperation between the medical library and departments and organizations inside and outside the university is necessary. Fifth, at a national level, active fund activities are needed from various government agencies, private foundations, and non-profit organizations.
