Remotely accessible information resources are greatly increasing in number and importance, but these are stored in different systems and in different formats all over the world. For this reason, the bibliographic control must be established for the network information resources. This paper intends to describe the characteristics of electronic resources. to review bibliographic elements of ISBD(ER) related to the bibliographic description of remote electronic resources. and to comparatively analyze ISBD(ER), AACR2R Chapter 9, OCLC manual. CCM Module 31, and USMARC.
The purpose of this study is to explore ways to get children in the information age of today to develop good reading habits and make reading a central part of their lives from an early age. The results of the study are as follows : 1. First of all, it is important for children to gain the habit of reading books from their early childhood during activities such as eating food, sleeping, studying, playing, going errands and watching TV etc. 2. The habituation of reading is formed by repeating and reenforcing the habit once it is acquired. Then we will do it easily, unconsciously and automatically. 3. Habituation is formed by the course of formalizing, training, reenforcing, and motivating like other daily activities. 4. The prerequisites of habituation for reading are the early integration of reading books, putting reading books at the core of curriculum, developing an interest in reading, motivating to read books, giving good rewards for reading, and simply encouraging reading. 5. Lastly, other ways to form good reading habits are inducing interests in books and reading books, and reading in the course of learning.
Most of Korean Medical researcher is using MEDLINE which is made by National Library of Medicine in U.S. However we have not such total database of medical information. And so, we have designed medical literature article system, serial union cataloging system and interlibrary loan system as library total system. All Korean Medical Association member input bibliographic data and holding data. Medical researcher can access medical literature article system at www and then access holding data and they can use interlibrary loan system in online. The object of this total system is that medical researcher as well as medical librarian can easily retrive medical literature and gain original article.
The purpose of this study is to provide possible suggestions in order to promote online transmission service of digital works and the construction of digital libraries. To achieve this purpose, the definition, and characteristics of digital library were reviewed. And the current status of information service of digital libraries in Korea. Japan, and U. S. was examined. The regulations relating to online transmission in digital libraries on the copyright law revised in December 1999 were understood. As a result, this study suggested the establishment of center to manage the reproduction and online transmission of digital works collectively. And it also suggested the introduction of technical measures to protect copyright.
The purpose of this study was attempted to investigate the social opinion and their lives and jobs of the public library directors in Korea. The author attained data through questionaires by mail to about 180 directors of public libraries. The Major finding of this study are summarized as follows： 1) The more or higher the director"s revenue and degree of satisfaction for his/her revenur, and rich feeling in content for his/her job, the higher he/she recognize his/her social class. 2) Although many directors make it their principles to support for females to go to work. 87.4% of them also recognize the existence of discrimination by sex in attainment of their job positions. 3) Female directors feel more discriminated than male directors. Male are rather supporting or neutral for those discriminations. 4) The obstracles for conducting their jobs are insufficiency of budget for libraries. insufficiency of their job powers and so forth. 5) The Most disirable type of library directors is the mixed nature of type of research specialist and administrative specialist. Only the research talent is not sufficient for a library director and the administrative specialty is also strongly expected to the director.ctor.
The Purpose of this study is to find out the relationships of affective outcomes and work itself performed by librarians. General job satisfaction, internal work motivation and growth satisfaction were set as independent variables in this study. Work effectiveness was set as a dependent variable. The result of multiple regressions by the data from 88 systems librarians who work at university libraries showed that affective outcomes affect work effectiveness, and growth satisfaction is important to affective outcome.

This study is on the functions, staffs. materials. material organization, facilities, public services, computerlizations and budgets of church libraris in Seoul, Korea. As a sample group. 7 church libraries which have 10,000 disciples are seclected. Many churches in Seoul have no library. so it is necessay that church managers have to interest about church library. The 7 libraries in this study have many problems of staffs. materials, facilities and budgets. The results of this study can be used for the management of church libraries.

This study can be utilized as a basic material when knowledge management programs are designed.
