Abstract

This study investigated commercial power theory of traditional market through the analysis of literature review. Consumers’ store selection models are made up a theory based on normative hypothesis, theory of mutual reaction, utility function estimation model, and cognitive-behavioral model. Detailed models are as follows. Normative hypothesis based theory is divided into Reilly’s retail gratification theory and Converse’s revised retail gratification theory. Interaction theory is composed of Huff’s probability gratification theory, MCI model and Multi-nominal Logit Model (MNL model). There are four models in retail organization position theory such as central place theories, single store position theory, multi store position – assign model, and retail growth potential model. In case of single store position theory, theoretical and empirical techniques have developed for a decision to optimum single store position. Those are like these, a check list, the most simple and systematic method, analogy, and micro-analysis technique. Aforementioned models are theoretical and mathematical commercial power measurement and/or model. The study has rather limitations because the variation factors included in formula are only a part of actual commercial power. Therefore, further study shall be made continuously to commercial power areas and variables.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of foreign students' entrepreneurship on start-up recognition and intention. Due to the expanded policy of attracting foreign students with current Korean wave, it has rapidly increased the number of foreign students in Korea. The number of foreign students in Korea has increased from 50,000 up to 100,000 in 2012. Approximately half of number was resided in Seoul capital, surrounding satellite cities and followed by Kyeongsang, Chungcheong and Jeolla province regions. In this study, we examined the correlation of entrepreneurship with start-up recognition and intention of foreign students living in Daejeon city. The research model was constructed with entrepreneurship and start-up intention as independent and dependent variable, respectively, and start-up recognition as a moderating variable. Furthermore, the entrepreneurship of foreign students as independent variable contains innovativeness, pro-activeness, risk-taking and social responsibility. In the survey, we collected 119 responding foreign students belonging to KAIST, Chungnam National University and Hanbat National University and analyzed the correlations of these variables with 116 significant answers. To validate the hypotheses, linear regression analysis tool in SPSS program was used. As a result of the survey, entrepreneurship components such as innovativeness, pro-activeness, risk-taking and social responsibility affected start-up intention positively. In addition, start-up recognition as a moderating variable affected positively between entrepreneurship and start-up intention. However, it has the limitation to generalize the overall correlation of entrepreneurship with start-up recognition and intention for foreign students living in Korea because the survey was only performed in restricted Daejeon city area. Abstract

The study aims to find out relationship between investor’s psychology and financial decision making. A questionnaire containing ten questions for investor’s psychology and eleven questions on financial decision making was administered. The questionnaires addressed demographic and cultural variables and resulted in three investor’s psychology and three for financial decision making. The results show differences in psychology of investors of different age groups. Similarly difference in financial decision making was observed for different age groups. Also a linear dependency was observed between the psychology and decision making

Abstract

This study analyzes what effects does restaurant’s well-being attribute selection have on word-of-mouth intention. Based on the result, this study aims to provide basic data for establishing Korean restaurant’s service strategy and marketing strategy. The researchers surveyed 350 customers who visited a Korean restaurant located in Kangbook, Seoul. We encoded gathered data and analyzed them using SPSS 17.0 statistics package program. Following are the analyzed results. First, under hypothesis 1 – Korean restaurant’s well-being attribute selection will have a positive influence on re-visitation intention – it is shown that sufficiency, healthiness, and steadiness have similar influence on re-visitation intention. Second, under hypothesis 2 – Korean restaurant’s well-being attribute selection will have a positive influence on word-of-mouth intention – it is shown that sufficiency, healthiness, environment, and steadiness have similar influence on word-of-mouth intention. Third, under hypothesis 3 – Korean restaurant’s re-visitation intention will have a positive influence on word-of-mouth intention – it is considered that eliciting customer’s re-visitation intention also has influence on word-of-mouth intention. We will be necessary to consult how to derive customer’s re-visitation intention or word-of-mouth intention by considering factors which customers of traditional Korean restaurant value.
