Sexual self-determination refers to the right to freely decide one's sexual life and not to be illegally violated. The purpose of this preliminary study was to develop a measure to evaluate the ability to sexual self-determination in physically and mentally immature adolescents and adults and vulnerable individuals with intellectual or mental disabilities. In particular, it was intended to develop a women's tool that can be more appropriately utilized for women. For this purpose, based on theoretical considerations and symposiums, sexual self-determination was defined as the individual's sexual knowledge, sexual consciousness and attitude, sexual self-assertion, situational perception and coping ability. Preliminary items were constructed by verifying content validity and facial validity. Subjects were 940 middle and high school female student, the model fit was confirmed through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. As a result, self-reporting questionnaire confirmed sexual knowledge(13 items), sexual consciousness and attitude(12 items), sexual self-assertiveness(10 items), and 5 scenarios (20 items, situational judgement test) to identify an individual's perception of the situation and ability to deal with the situation in specific sexual situations. As a result of construct validity test, each scale is good or acceptable fit. It is a structure that can respond to self-report and scenario questions simultaneously, which makes it possible to evaluate sexual self-determination ability in a multi-dimensional scale. Based on these findings, implications and suggestions for future research were discussed.
