Abstract

The Purpose: This study aims to identify the characteristics of customer satisfaction of the restaurants delivery applications that is increasing globally, especially in Korea. Due to demographic changes, social trends and the development of food science, customers no longer want to visit restaurants. This represents an important change in the restaurant business, and related research is also very urgent. Research design, data, and methodology: With 296 surveyed questionnaire, the study analyzed to verify the validity and reliability of measured variables in Korea. And structural equation model was used for hypotheses test of the research. Results: The result showed that consumers' usefulness, mobility, and reliability influenced on satisfaction. Specifically, mobility and reliability influencing the satisfaction and loyalty as well. And significant impact of satisfaction and loyalty are also corroborated. However, the path from informative to both satisfaction and loyalty was not statistically significant. This means food application developers should no longer focus on providing too many information, instead, concentrate on improving mobility and trust of mobile applications. Conclusions: This study analyzed the influence of attributes of food delivery applications on satisfaction and loyalty, and suggested crucial strategic implications of delivery marketing companies involved in the implementation of mobile application developers.

Abstract

Purpose: In this study, we will explore how the attributes of the airline's advertising model affect the corporate image and brand loyalty and the medium effect of the corporate image. Research design, data and methodology: Data collection for empirical analysis of this study was conducted online for about seven months from Jan. 2 to July 12, 2019, and was confirmed as part 292 of the final effective sample and used for demonstration analysis. Results: The property of the advertising model shown to have a significant impact in corporate image and brand loyalty. The property of the advertising, reliability and professionalism shown to have an impact in the social responsibility, but attractiveness is its responsibility and brand loyalty. Corporate images have been shown to play a meaningful role in the impact of advertising models on brand loyalty. Conclusions: The attributes of the airline's advertising model are divided into four categories, and reliability has the most influence on the image of a company and the formation of brand loyalty. The impact of the attributes of the advertising model on the relationship between corporate image and brand loyalty was investigated through an empirical analysis, and several implications were derived.

Abstract

Purpose: This exploratory research is to give managerial implication to sales personal management. This study focused on antecedents of job satisfaction and organizational commitment specially in HRD programs and system by participation and effect toward job. Research design, data and methodology: This research focuses on relationship analysis among job satisfaction, organizational commitment and HRD programs of logistics and sales personnel in Korea. HRD program consider two parts one is participation and other is effect toward job. And three HRD program is included education & training, system and self-directed Learning. This study used 7th HCCP data from KRIVET and 748 employee data is analyzed. SPSS18 is used and frequency, reliability, correlation and regression analysis are conducted. Results: Result shows that job satisfaction is positively affected by education & training participation, HRD system participation and HRD system effect toward job. Organizational commitment is positively affected by education & training participation, HRD system participation, education & training effect toward job and HRD system effect toward job. However self-directed Learning participation negatively affect organizational commitment. Lastly job satisfaction partially mediates between HRD and organizational commitment. Conclusions: Based on the results, this paper provide implication to academic, practical HRD and suggest feature research.

Abstract

Purpose: This paper aimed to study the current locations of post offices to analyze service coverage area for parcel delivery in the Eastern Economics Corridor (EEC), which must be considered in the last mile to extend delivery service for e-commerce growth. Thailand Post was the case study in this paper. Research design, data and methodology: To involve solving the delivery service area under the last mile condition, the authors proposed a network analysis to determine service radius by employing a Geographic Information System (GIS). Furthermore, this paper applied Dijkstra's algorithm as a network analysis tool from GIS for analyzing the last mile service coverage area in a new economics zone. At the same time, the authors suggested an approach as a solution to locate last mile delivery center in EEC. Results: The results of the study pointed out that Thailand Post should consider more last mile delivery centers in EEC to support its express service in urban areas as well as improve the efficiency of service coverage for parcel delivery and create more advantages against competitors. Conclusions: This paper proposes a network analysis to extend the last mile service for parcel delivery by following Dijkstra's algorithm from GIS and a solution approach to add more last mile delivery centers. The results of the research will contribute to boosting customer satisfaction for last mile delivery service and enabling easy accessibility to a service center in EEC.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to derive a strategy to manage the relationship termination intention of the partner in a B2B transaction. To achieve this goal, the relationship compatibility was classified into goal incongruity, domain dissensus, perception difference, and verified the effects of these variables on relationship termination intention. Trust which is well known as a variable which develops the relationship and prevents relationship termination is used as a moderating variable in this study. This study identifies and highlights which relationship incompatibility increases relationship termination intention more when trust is high and when it is low. Research design, data, and methodology: The data of this study were obtained via an interview with 274 purchasing decision makers. Results: It was found that goal incongruity and domain dissensus increased the partner's relationship termination intention. Trust amplified the effect of goal incongruity which increased relationship termination intention, but reduced the effect of domain dissensus which increase relationship termination intention. Conclusions: Through this research, it has emerged that the relationship can be terminated because of high trust. If a partner has a high level of trust in the past in a company, it should take more care not to perceive goal incongruity.

Abstract

Purpose: Usage of leisure-sport social media would lengthen and strengthen the effects of positive event experiences on WOM behavior. This study is to examine the extent to which leisure sport social media use has the moderating potential to enhance the direction of the relationship between post-event emotions and event WOM behavior. Research design, data and methodology: A running event located in a major metropolitan area in the southeastern United States was selected. Participants of the running events completed the survey. Descriptive analysis and correlations between primary variables of interest were conducted. To examine interactions within the context of moderated regression, a hierarchical regression analysis was employed. Results: The results confirmed direct effects of a sense of achievement and event satisfaction on event WOM intention, supporting H 1 and H2. In specific, result revealed that the amount of time spending on social media for running content moderated the effect of a sense of achievement on event WOM intention, supporting H3, however, H4 was rejected. Conclusions: There are managerial implications of these results, particularly which pertain to how organizers may be able to use perceived benefits (i.e., a sense of achievement and satisfaction) and social media to increase positive WOM intention.

Abstract

Purpose: This study was to examine public access defibrillator (PAD) deployment on some golf courses and to analyze automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) demand by appropriate distance. Research design, data, and methodology: We conducted telephone interview on 124 golf courses in Gyeonggi and Gangwon province in South Korea. The area within 3 minutes by 3 minutes for retrieval and 1 minute for shock and 1.5 minutes by the American Heart Association (AHA)recommendation for community AED placement were calculated as 3.14×162㎡ and 3.14×100㎡. Results: The average area was 1,811,481.8㎡, and 29 (42.7%) in below 999,999㎡, 75 (60.5%) in 1,000,000 to 1,999,999㎡, 12 (9.7%) in 2,000,000 to 2,999,999㎡ took up. The average retrieval time was 161.8 seconds, and 5 (4.1%) in below 90 seconds, 10 (8.0%) in 91 to 180 seconds took up a small part. AED demands according to 3 and 1.5 retrieval minutes were 2,602 and 6,986 respectively. Average AED demands per golf course were 21.0 and 56.3 respectively on 124 golf courses. Conclusions: The numbers of AED needed in South Korean golf course were 5,880 to 15,764. To ensure defibrillation on the golf courses, the supply and distribution of AEDs should be strengthened.

Abstract

Purpose: This study explores how cognitive impairment caused by social exclusion experience can be explained through cognitive narrowing and how it influences consumer's judgment and reasoning and results pseudodiagnosticity bias towards distribution brands. This study examines the characteristics of cognitive narrowing, which is one of the strategies for overcoming the negative emotions resulting from social exclusion, and how cognitive errors called pseudodiagnosticity bias occur due to cognitive narrowing in the evaluation of distribution brands. Research design, data and methodology: Present study was performed with 77 college students in Seoul. Participants were randomly assigned to the group who experienced social exclusion and the group who did not experience social exclusion. The analysis has been made of how the degree of bias of pseudodiagnosticity differs according to the experience of social exclusion by t-test. Results: The group who experienced social exclusion had a higher level of pseudodiagnosticity bias towards distribution brands than the group who did not experience social exclusion. Conclusions: This study confirmed what characteristics of cognitive narrowing, which is one of the strategies for overcoming the negative emotions resulting from social exclusion, and how cognitive errors called pseudodiagnosticity bias occur due to cognitive narrowing. Implications and future research directions were discussed and suggested.

Abstract

Purpose: In this paper, we provide an illustration of Indonesian youth Social Networking Service (SNS) behavior and its relation to their culinary activity. Specifically, their behavior of culinary activity preferences and also the factors affecting their action of spending their money. Data and methodology: We gathered primary data from stratified random questionnaire survey (406 youth). The gathered data was analyzed using text data mining and statistics using R statistical computing language. Results: 1) We found out why our respondents are interested in following the accounts of SNS food influencers: i.e. visually attracted to the posts, as their reference to find places to dine out, as their reference to try new food menu and to get nostalgic feeling about the food. 2) The respondents decide to actually go to the recommended culinary places because of several factors, specifically, its description (visual and text), location, word of mouth (WoM), the experience of being to that place and price. 3) Important factors affecting culinary spent are income, number of following food influencer account, SNS usage time and their interest when looking at WoM. Conclusions: SNS behavior influences Indonesian youth culinary activity preferences and spent.

Abstract

Purpose: Participation of firms in Global Value Chains (GVC) has contributed significantly to the improvement of economic outcomes for firms in developing countries. However, evidence suggests that these economic outcomes are gained at the cost of labourers' poor working conditions. This research contributes to existing literature on GVCs by investigating the influence of different governance structures on economic and social upgrading of firms participating in GVCs. Furthermore, the research attempts to understand the relationship between economic and social upgrading in GVCs. Research design and methodology: Detailed qualitative primary research was carried out in the football industry of Sialkot, Pakistan. The case study approach was employed, and football firms were the unit of analysis. Semi-structured interviews with firms' representatives were conducted. Results: Findings reveal that most firms were found in captive, relational and market governance structures. Furthermore, product and process upgrading were witnessed in all firms; however, social upgrading was observed mostly in captive and relational GVCs. Moreover, social upgrading was linked to economic upgrading in captive and relational networks. Conclusions: The findings from the Sialkot football industry reflect that buyers pay higher prices and margins to their suppliers once they upgrade their products and processes.
