Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the impact of Brand Anthropomorphism and Intimacy on Brand Engagement, and at the same time analyze the regulatory effect of Brand Reputation on the relationship between Brand Anthropomorphism and Intimacy and the relationship between Intimacy and Brand Engagement in terms of distribution brand. Results: The findings show that Brand Anthropomorphism, Intimacy, and Brand Reputation are important value factors in customers' minds toward their behavior, and from there, they will contribute to creating positive emotions and interactions between consumers and brands. Research design, data, and methodology: This article used the quantitative technique utilizing PLS-SEM software to test the hypothesis with 1,060 samples. Collected data shows that consumers in Ho Chi Minh City have positive emotions and interactive and social behaviors toward smartphone brands. Conclusion: The study has demonstrated the conclusions and proposed solutions to help smartphone brands build Brand Anthropomorphism while enhancing Brand Reputation thereby achieving Intimacy, which leads to consumer Brand Engagement. In addition, this study complements the concept of Brand Anthropomorphism which is lacking in theoretical background and is the first study in Vietnam to explore the prefixes and suffixes of the concept of Brand Anthropomorphism and the regulatory role of Brand Reputation.

Abstract

Purpose: 1) develop a learning model involving design thinking to develop creative economy innovation and the characteristics of digital entrepreneurs. 2) evaluate the impact of design thinking on creative economy innovation 3) evaluate the impact of design thinking on digital entrepreneurial ability. Research design, data and methodology: 1) develop a learning model involving design thinking in order to develop creative economy innovation and the characteristics of digital entrepreneurs. 2) Evaluating creative economy innovation involving design thinking. 3) Assessing the characteristics of digital entrepreneurs based on design concepts. Results: 1) the development of a learning model involving design thinking to develop creative economy innovation and digital entrepreneurial competency 2) The students who studied using the learning model involving a design thinking process had the highest overall scores in terms of creative economy innovation 3) The scores for the assessment of digital entrepreneurial activity for the students who studied by using the design thinking learning model were at a high level. Conclusions: The development of the design thinking learning model can encourage students to be able to develop creative economy innovations and to empower digital entrepreneurs' ability for distribution strategy. Educational institutions that would like to succeed in developing creative economy innovative and digital entrepreneurship characteristics with the support of design thinking.

Abstract

Purpose: To study, analyze, and investigate how to improve the service quality distribution and perceived value of passenger loyalty in low-cost airlines in Thailand. Research Design, data, and methodology: The data was collected from low-cost airline passengers who had used low-cost airlines within Thailand more than twice in the last 12 months. In total, 632 questionnaires were received, representing 97.32%, and in-depth interviews were done using the semi-structured technique. The key informants were either executives or representatives from 4 low-cost airlines operating in Thailand. We utilized structural modeling techniques to examine the data relevant to the investigation. Results: The results show that low-cost airline passengers in Thailand have strong opinions about the perceived value of the passenger loyalty of low-cost airlines within this sector of the Thai air travel industry. The variables were sorted in order of importance and included passenger loyalty, satisfaction, trust, perceived value, and service quality distribution. The relationship between the service quality distribution variables and the significance in relation to passenger loyalty according to low-cost airlines in Thailand showed that service quality distribution had a positive effect on perceived value and that passenger satisfaction has a direct positive effect on passenger loyalty. Conclusions: The 8 QPSTL strategy is successful in terms of service quality distribution and passenger satisfaction, therefore it is an important aspect of low-cost airlines in Thailand.

Abstract

Purpose: The study's objective was to examine the impact of brand personality dimensions on consumer behavior for laptop purchases in Nepal. Research Materials and Methods: The study included descriptive and explanatory research designs. A structured questionnaire with a purposive sampling method was employed to gather the necessary information for the study. The survey data were analyzed using a quantitative approach. The study used descriptive statistics to characterize the response conditions. Correlation analysis was used to investigate the relationship between brand personality dimensions and consumer behavior. Regression path analysis was employed to identify the effect of brand personality dimensions and consumer behavior. Results: The result of regression path analysis showed that the three dimensions - competency, ruggedness, and sophistication, have a significant effect on consumer behavior, and the two dimensions- sincerity and excitement do not have a substantial impact on consumer behavior in laptop buying in Nepal. Conclusions and Implications: Such findings can serve as pioneering empirical evidence and provide a framework for marketers and future studies in various scenarios. The study's findings can help marketing managers in handling information management. Manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers can also use the results in formulating marketing strategies, and marketers need to be aware of such considerations for influencing consumer behavior.

Abstract

Purpose: the research aims to analyze the impact of the distribution of knowledge through online learning on the intellectual potential of PhD students and produce recommendations for policy to improve intellectual capacity. During the literature review, it was determined that a large number of studies examined the impact of online learning on the quality of education at different levels. Research design, data and methodology: the research methodology is based on subjective assessment and studying the students' opinions. The basis of the study was a comprehensive analysis of primary data obtained through a sociological survey of PhD students. 324 respondents from humanitarian, medical and natural faculties participated in the survey. Results: the study revealed that online learning helps increase students' intellectual potential. PhD students had a positive attitude towards the transition from traditional education to online learning. It should be noted that, according to the results, the most popular gadgets were laptops and smartphones, which were characterized by high mobility and ease of use. Based on the obtained results, recommendations were developed for the formation of online learning with a focus on increasing students' intellectual potential. Conclusions: based on the results of the assessment of educational and innovative potential, policy recommendations and further research in this area were proposed.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to measuring the employee performance distributions of company in using relationship analysis between motivation, organization learning, compensation, and Organizational commitment. Research design and methodology: The study was conducted on 102 employees as a sample. Data were analyzed using Path Analysis in Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with PLS. Results: the research result has shown that motivation and compensation have a positive significant effect on organizational commitment. While organizational learning has negative and insignificant effect on organizational commitment. Furthermore, motivation, organizational learning and motivation have no significant effect on employee performance distribution and organizational commitment has a positive significant effect on employee performance distribution. Results for mediating effect has obtained where organizational commitment mediates the effect of motivation and compensation on employee performance distribution, but cannot mediate the effect of organizational learning on employee performance distribution. Conclusion: Organizational commitment in this study can make employees feel comfortable and attached to the company so that employees can perform well to achieve company goals. Motivation and compensation are driving factors in improving employee performance distribution and will achieved if employees have good organizational commitment. In this study, organizational learning is not an important factor in improving employee performance distribution.

Abstract

Purpose: In the landscape of global challenges, the adoption of new technologies and the implementation of intellectual capital are seen as the main vehicles to enhance banking operations. Inspired by this issue, our study is to discover the effect of technological investments and intellectual capital on one of the most important dimensions of banking operations, namely deposit intermediation. Research design, data and methodology: To tackle this concern, we utilize the data of 12 banks from 2011 to 2020 in Vietnam, and perform the multivariate regression analysis as well as provide different robustness tests. Results: Our empirical analysis demonstrates that a surge in technological expenditures would foster distribution of deposit intermediation of banks. Also, the blend of technology spending and intellectual capital plays a key role in boosting this function of banks. Conclusions: The study would bring one of new evidence for bank managers and national authorities in Vietnam, where has undergone the completely reform period in banking system. Accordingly, technological innovation and intellectual capital should be taken into consideration when managers and regulators build business strategies and related policies. The findings are also useful for nations bearing a close resemblance to Vietnamese financial system.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effects of job satisfaction regarding the franchisee's continuous operation intention. In addition, it intends to investigate the mediating effect of work engagement in the relationship between job satisfaction and sustainable performance of the franchisee. Research design, data and methodology: 361 survey data were collected and analyzed using SPSS 24 and AMOS 24. To assess the model for goodness of fit, indexes such as TLI, CFI, RMSEA were used. Moreover, SEM method and bootstrapping were used for hypotheses testing. Results: The results of this study are as follows. First, the relationship between job satisfaction and the employee's continuous operation intention was significant. Second, it confirms that indeed job satisfaction positively affects work engagement. Third, it was found that work engagement had positive (+) effects on the franchisees' financial performance along with its continuous operation intention. Fourth, work engagement was found to mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and continuous operation intention of the franchisee. Conclusion: We found that job satisfaction of the franchisee is related with continuous operation intention through work engagement and financial performance. Hence, by demonstrating the empirical evidence which has been insufficient so far, this study contributes to the theory accumulation regarding the franchisee's continuous operation intention.

Abstract

Purpose: Research on the valuation of the e-commerce distribution companies is necessary because the traditional valuation methodology cannot be easily applied. Considering the valuation and initial public offering (IPO) of Coupang, Korea's leading e-commerce company, this study contributes to the literature by examining various valuation methods applicable to corporate valuation in the e-commerce industry and provides their implications. Research design, data and methodology: This case study investigates research, analyst reports, news articles, and magazines to review the valuation methods for companies in the e-commerce industry and analyzes the case of the Coupang IPO. Results: A valuation method that considers growth potential, which is important for companies in the e-commerce industry, is used for IPOs. This led to Coupang's successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange despite its accumulated losses. However, the continued price decline since listing suggests that Coupang's valuation should have considered more factors. Conclusions: This study provides guidelines for the valuation of companies in the e-commerce industry, which eventually improves the overall industry. Moreover, this study provides directions for improving the valuation methods for e-commerce firms.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze Korean sports consumers' intention to stay using online sports products and services through online sports distribution platforms or return to using sports facilities and services in person. Research design, data and methodology: This study set up two models measuring consumers' recognition, attitude, and purchase intention toward online sports products and services based on involvement theory. An online survey was conducted and a total of 2,263 consumers participated in this study. Male participants were 1,256(55.5%) and female participants were 1,007(44.5%). Descriptive statistics were performed, and a path analysis was utilized to analyze the proposed model using SPSS 26 and SAS. Results: The results revealed two proposed models used in this study supported that consumers' online sports product and service recognition leads to a positive attitude toward online sports products and services. Moreover, consumers' positive online sports product and service attitudes were shown to lead to positive intentions to purchase online sports products and services. Conclusions: The findings revealed the recognition of consumers' online sports products and services led to positive attitudes and behavioral intentions. Implications were provided by suggesting the sports industry stick to developing online sports products and services until the endemic of COVID-19 is declared.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the effect of retailer's ESG performance on consumption value. The research analyzed the effect of consumption value that can be obtained through ESG management of retail companies on consumer attitude and repurchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology: A research model and hypothesis were established, and statistical analysis was performed on a total of 278 samples of all age groups. To secure the reliability and validity of the data, confirmatory factor analysis and discriminant validity analysis were performed, and the causal relationship of latent variables was verified through path analysis. Results: As a result of the analysis, it was found that among the characteristics of consumption value according to ESG management, social value, economic value, accessible value, and eco-friendly value had an effect on social contribution attitude. Also, the economic value was found to have an effect on the self-actualization attitude, and both the social contribution attitude and the self-actualization attitude have an effect on the purchase intention. Conclusions: This study empirically analyzed the value of ESG management in the retail industry that consumers are paying attention to recently. This will serve as a basis for revising and supplementing the retail companies' strategy in the near future.

Abstract

Purpose: Market basket analysis is one of the most frequently used methods in the retail industry today as a technique to discover the product association. It is empirically analyzed how these product associations differ regionally in the case of the United States. Research design, data, and methodology: Based on the purchasing data of consumer panels collected from 49 US states, the association rules for each state was extracted with the corresponding lift values indicating product association. The difference in lift values in 49 states by the association rule was compared and tested for 49 states and for 4 census regions (Northeast, Midwest, South, West). Results: The association rules of 3/4 of the same association rules show positive associations or negative associations depending on the lift values of the states. There were significant differences in the lift values for 49 states, and for 4 census regions. These significant differences in the lift values were found to be related to the distance between states and whether states belong to the same census region. Conclusions: Retail product associations shown by market basket analysis may vary depending on regional distance or regional heterogeneity. It is necessary to pay attention to these points in multi-store environment.
