Abstract

Purpose: This study attemptsto investigate the moderating effects of environmental turbulence (ET) between learning orientation (LO) and SMEs' performance. Research design, data, and Methodology: To gain insights and provide implications for manufacturing SMEs in Pakistan, this study adopted simple random sampling to collect 379 valid responses. Data were collected through a self-administrative questionnaire from manufacturing SMEs owners/managers. Partial least squares of structural equation modeling have been used to test research hypotheses by using SmartPLS® 3.0 software. Results: The study's primary finding is that LO has a significantly positive effect on SMEs' performance and this relationship is strengthened under the moderating influence of environmental turbulence (ET). Conclusion: Environmental turbulence (ET) enables SMEs to focus on learning capability to get a more competitive advantage. Moreover, SMEs owner/managers ought to emphasize continuous learning that accentuates the capability to compete with environmental changes. Findings support notifying Pakistan's Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA) in dealings with Manufacturing SMEs in terms of improving their internal capabilities. This research contributes to the literature as it provides a more detailed and in-depth explanation of distribution management-related issues faced by SMEs. This research carries a significant influence on literature and relevant Resource-based view and contingency theories.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to identify factors affecting attitudes and intentions toward online purchasing of millennials and gen z in Indonesia by considering distribution capabilities factors. Research design, data and methodology: This study used a non-probability sampling technique. The questionnaire was distributed through an online platform and obtained 225 respondents. The data acquired from the respondents used SPSS 23 and AMOSS 21 to process the Structural Equation Model (SEM). Results: The results of this study stated that attitudes and intentions toward online purchases were influenced by delivery speed and trust. The results also stated that the perception of web quality positively influenced trust. On the other hand, shipping tracking, people's importance to consumers, and online reviews had no significant effects on online purchasing attitudes. Conclusions: This research has made an essential contribution to increasing and expanding our understanding of factors that affect attitudes and intentions toward online shopping in a developing market, Indonesia. From a practical perspective, this research examined the integrated consumer model of millennials and Gen Z online shopping in Indonesia that considers distribution capability, trust, and perceived website quality factors. Therefore, e-commerce business actors can design e-marketing strategies and programs to achieve the company's long-term goals.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to study the theory of railway transport in Azerbaijan. And also to determine the economic importance of this mode of transport and analyze its relationship with the country's GDP. Research design, data and methodology: This paper studies the theory of railway transport with a focus on the case of Azerbaijan. The economic value of this type of transport is determined, and its relationship with countries' GDP was analyzed. A qualitative model of multiple regressions was developed to characterize the dependence of the GDP of Azerbaijan on the performance of the railway industry. The feasibility of the Gauss-Markov hypotheses was analyzed. Finally, an economic interpretation of the results from the developed model is provided. Results: The results show that the main factors of this dependence are the length of roads and the average monthly salary of employees of the railway industry in Azerbaijan. Conclusions: Therefore, it can be concluded that rail transport contributes to the country's economy. The commencement of active work on the new railway Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will increase contribution to the economy of Azerbaijan. The development of railway transportation is important for the country's economy, as it will contribute to the development of other sectors in Azerbaijan.

Abstract

Purpose: To explain the effect of product quality, price perception, online distribution, and social media promotion on attitudes, customer satisfaction, and local brand love. Research design, data and methodology: The population of this study are Indonesians who have purchased local Indonesian brand products. The size of the sample used was 240 people with purposive sampling method. The analytical technique used is Path Analysis using SEM-PLS. Results: product quality, price perception, online distribution have a positive effect on attitudes, but social media promotion has a positive and insignificant effect on consumer attitudes; product quality, price perception, online distribution, and social media promotion have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, and attitudes have a positive and significant effect on local brand love; and customer satisfaction has a positive effect on brand love for local brands. Conclusion: Therefore, it is important for local brand product businesses to pay attention to product quality, price perception, online distribution, and social media promotion in order to be able to build positive attitudes, customer satisfaction and ultimately have an impact on local brand love. In online distribution, with online distribution, it is easy for marketers to deliver multimedia content through online methods.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to determine the quality of online store designs that make consumers who use online market board applications have the urge to make impulse buying. This research was conducted because impulse buying is the most common buying behavior. Research design, data and methodology: This research used non-probability sampling. The sample size was 195 respondents from the distribution and service industries by applying a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique employed a questionnaire distributed online according to predetermined criteria: mobile device users who accessed the online market board application and made at least one purchase in the last six months. The data analysis method utilized was structural equation modeling (SEM). Results: The findings revealed that usability, functionality, and sociability factors affected hedonic and utilitarian search. Furthermore, these findings proved that hedonic search affected impulse buying drives. In contrast, the utilitarian search did not affect impulse buying drives. Conclusions: The usability, functionality, and sociability factors supported hedonic and utilitarian searches. Consumer information security increased consumer confidence in an online store because it was considered to protect matters related to their privacy. The hedonic search also increased impulse buying drives. Consumers prefer to use their spare time to search through online market board applications, which provide many attractive promos.

Abstract

Purpose: This paper evaluates which characteristics of marketing communication content distributed on social networks impact electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM). Research design, data, and methodology: Quantitative research was carried out on 637 Vietnamese people aged from 18, who were exposed to marketing communication programs of fashion brands. Preliminary data were analyzed by the reliability of the scale, multivariate regression analysis, and analysis of variance. Results: The research findings have identified the four characteristics of social media content that positively impact e-WOM, including entertainment, interaction, trendiness, and customization. Participants aged 30 and under have a higher appreciation for media content and e-WOM than those from 31 and over. Conclusion: To promote e-WOM, marketing communication content distributed on social networks should focus on the following characteristics: (1) The entertainment of marketing communication content should involve positive emotions, fun, and enjoyment; (2) With interactive content, focus should be placed on discussion and exchange content, content that encourages sharing, and two-way interactive content; (3) For trending marketing communication content, marketers consider communicating brand-related latest information, up-to-date information, and hot discussion topics; and (4) When creating customized content, brands should be interesting, customized (information, product, price), and unique.

Abstract

Purpose: The paper employs the theory of planned behaviour, social identity theory, social presence theory, and social exchange theory to propose a model for using the social media platform Facebook in distributing information in universities. Research design, data and methodology: Data were obtained from 618 students at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) in Vietnam. The study used structural equation modeling in SPSS and the statistical analysis software AMOS version 24 to explore the information distribution role of Facebook. Results: Findings reveal that subjective norms and social presence play a key role in driving students to use Facebook for studying. In addition, university administrators can boost student satisfaction and academic achievement through Facebook. Interestingly, students who strongly identify with the brand name of the university have a strong connection with the university are more likely to engage in behaviors supportive toward the university. Conclusions: These findings show that Facebook had played a key information distribution role in universities. Thus, the study provides the executive board of the university and teachers can gain new understanding of why students employ Facebook for studying as well as capitalize on the platform to improve several operational metrics such as brand identification, student satisfaction, and academic achievement.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to dissemination a new concept based on empirical research on enhancing entrepreneurship intention (EI) in the theory of planned behavior (TPB) through entrepreneurship mindset (EM) and task technology fit (TTF). The TTF is a moderating variable in strengthening the relationship between EM and EI. Research design, data, and methodology: This research design was quantitative research. The respondents were 202 students from Malaysia and Indonesia who had filled out and collected an online questionnaire in Microsoft form. Three hypotheses examined the direct influence and the indirect impact of EM on EI through antecedent variables of TPB, and the effect of TTF as moderating variable to enhance the relationship between EM and EI. The data was analyzed using the WarpPLS version 7.0. Results: The result showed that EM had a significant impact on the students' EI. The interaction of EM and TTF was significantly able to improve EI. Conclusions: The findings contributed new ideas to develop the theoretical framework of the TPB model and were able be utilized by lecturers to consider the integration of EM and TTF in the model. The novelty of this study elaborated the EM and TTF variables as an extended model of the TPB.

Abstract

Purpose: This study intends to analyze the effect of competitor pressure and customer pressure on social media technology use and the value of the business network and their implications for marketing performance. Research design, and methodology: A constructed questionnaire was conducted with 90 respondents of MSME's Business Actors in South Sulawesi Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis was applied to analyze and verify all the data. Results: Competitor pressure has a significant effect on social media technology, Competitor pressure has a positive and significant impact on business network accentuation. Customer pressure has a positive and significant impact on social media technology. Customer pressure has a positive and significant impact on business network accentuation. Social media technology utilization has a significant impact on Business Network Accentuation. Social media technology utilization has a significant effect on Marketing Performance. Business Network has a significant effect on Marketing Performance. Conclusions: It is an important thing for MSMEs to increase the use of social media technology to meet the demands of consumers and pressure from competitors. The use of social media technology must be implemented effectively and efficiently so that it can be utilized as an effective tool for distributing the value that own by a company to improve the company's marketing performance.

Abstract

Purpose: This research investigates ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee. Although the RTD coffee market is growing competitively, few studies have examined behavioral re-intention or repurchase intention in the context of this industry. Therefore, the objective of this study was to explore factors affecting the behavioral re-intention to purchase RTD coffee. Research design, data and methodology: Using the theory of planned behavior (TPB) as the underpinning theoretical framework, this study hypothesized that behavioral re-intention to purchase RTD coffee is influenced by the variables of the TPB and additional variables. A mixed-method research design was applied, starting with qualitative in-depth interviews and followed by a quantitative method. Data were collected using an online survey of coffee lovers. Multiple linear regression (MLR) was used to assess the hypothesized relationships in the proposed conceptual framework. Results: The results reveal that content sensory attribute beliefs are the strongest positive predictor of behavioral re-intention in Thailand, followed by perceived utilitarian value. In contrast, price signaling was negatively related to behavioral re-intention. Conclusions: The findings can help food and beverage companies to develop new coffee product lines to gain more market share, create integrated marketing communications to build brand awareness, and manage distribution channels and the supply chain.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the Cost-Effectiveness Analysis (CEA) of wholesale and retail brokerage businesses in Korea. And give managerial implications and contribute to academics. Research design, data and methodology: This research empirically analyzes the relationship between expenses and business performance. As for business performance, this research considered two financial performances; sales and profit. As for antecedent variables, this research measured three cost investment expenses; human resource management (HRM), marketing (MKT) and corporate social responsibility (CSR). This research used frequency analysis, correlation analysis, stepwise regression analysis and curve estimation analysis. Results: The result shows that HRM and CSR positive significant influence on sales yet marketing negatively significant influence on sales. And for profit, HRM and CSR give a positive significant influence. However, marketing's influence was not significant. According to curve estimation analysis, the relation between individual cost and performance, best functional relation was all quadratic functions. Some results show ∩ shape and others show shape. Conclusions: Based on this study result, implications for practical management to Wholesale and Retail Brokerage companies in Korea. And the contribution to academics is expected. Also, based on the limitation of this study, future research is suggested.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to establish the effects of psychological empowerment on retail sales employees. It further investigates how psychological empowerment can be used to mitigate the factors that affect sales workers in addition to meeting the feelings and emotional wellbeing of sales workers to improve their productivity and the success of their organizations. Research design, data, and methodology: The current author conducted SPSS statistical analysis program to gauge the statistical association between two main constructs (Psychological Empowerment and Job performance) using 217 respondents. The main statistical tool was selected by a multiple regression methodology. Results: The statistical test from the analysis is presented in the finding section and shows that β values and P-values are greater than 0 and less than 0.05 respectively and thus, this research could reject null hypotheses which mention that psychological empowerment cannot be associated with job performance. Conclusions: All in all, this research could conclude that it will improve the attitudes of retail sales workers towards their job, making them self-committed to the tasks assigned through significant psychological empowerment factors. The retention of these workers would be enhanced because they would attain job satisfaction through a positive perception of the tasks assigned to them.
