Purpose: This study explored how Indonesian banks utilize digital marketing communication strategies to optimize their distribution channels, leading to enhanced customer trust and brand loyalty. It examined specific methods such as sponsorships, social media, institutional partnerships, and mobile banking application features as key components of this digital distribution strategy. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: This study employed mixed methods design to assess digital distribution impacts. It involved 385 Jakarta bank customers. The sample size was determined using the Lemeshow formula. Results: The findings indicate that effective digital distribution strategies, including sponsorships, social media engagement, and user-friendly mobile banking applications, significantly enhance customer trust and loyalty. However, overly complex features may negatively impact loyalty. Conclusion: Thisstudy demonstrates a clear connection between the strategic use of digital marketing channels, such as sponsorships, social media, institutional partnerships, and mobile banking features, and the development of customer trust and loyalty. The results provide valuable insights to Indonesian banks in designing digital distribution strategies that prioritize building trust and fostering integrated customer interactions. Tailored digital marketing approachesthat optimize distribution can significantly enhance both trust and loyalty among Indonesian bank customers.
Economic growth is influenced by various factors, including support from the banking world in channeling funds ownedthrough bank credit which will be a stimulus from economic activities as a source of economic growth. Purpose: Thisstudy aims to analyze the determinants of bank lending in supporting regional economic growth in South Sulawesi Province. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: This study uses secondary data taken from banking data and analyzed using path analysis Data analysis is carried out using the help of SPSS statistical analysis tools. Results: Non-Performance Loan, Three Partied Fund, Inflation, Exchange Rate directly affect economic growth. For the analysis of the indirect effect of Non-performance loans and Three Partied Funds have an indirect effect on economic growth through lending while the Loan to deposit Ratio, Inflation and exchange rate do not indirectly affect economic growththrough lending. Credit disbursement has a positive and significant effect on economic growth Conclusion: Economicgrowth of a region is influenced by many factors and these factors are influences from the banking world, the results ofthis study show that economic growth is strongly influenced by bank support through lending to support the economy by considering other factors such as interest rates and currency exchange rates
Purpose: This study examines the impact of cultural dimensions as an intervening variable on taxpayer compliance in Makassar, Indonesia, with a focus on the Bugis tribe's cultural context. Research design data and methodology: The research aims to understand how attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control, influenced by local culture, affect taxpayer compliance. A quantitative research design was employed, collecting primary data through questionnaires distributed to 150 taxpayers, with 125 valid responses analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) and Partial Least Squares (PLS) methodology. Results: The results indicate that cultural factors significantly mediate the relationship between subjective norms and taxpayer compliance, highlighting the role of local cultural values, such as "Siri Na Pacce," in shaping compliance behavior. Subjective norms positively influence both cultural attitudes and compliance, while attitudes and perceived control have a less significant impact. The findings suggest that integrating cultural awareness into tax policy and education can enhance compliance rates in culturally rich regions. Conclusions: this study underscores the importance of considering cultural dimensionsin tax administration, particularly in regions with strong cultural identities, to improve the effectiveness of tax compliance strategies. The findings contribute to the broader understanding of how cultural context influences economic behavior, offering insights for policymakers and tax authorities.
Purpose: Global warming is increasingly aggravated by environmental degradation, a challenge that can be mitigated through strategic logistic policies. This study introduces the dynamics of green trade in environmental goods for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) nations. It is a region known for its high environmental degradation, political risk and instability. This study examines how technological innovation and political factors influence the geographic distribution of green trade among OIC nations from 1994 to 2021 using the structural gravity model. The COVID-19 pandemic further emphasised the need for resilient and eco-friendly approaches. Research design, data and methodology: The main objective of the study is to analyse the impact of technological innovation along with scrutinising political determinants of green trade in the OIC region from 1994 to 2021 using the structural gravity model. Results: The results reveal geographic proximity, RTA, and innovation significantly boost green trade. Similarly, OIC's green trade performance has been impeded by high political risk and instability. Conclusions: The research recommends fostering political stability, and conducting further research using longitudinal studies and machine learning to strengthen the understanding of innovation and green trade in the OIC. This will inform policies for sustainable economic growth through green trade.
Purpose: This study focuses on the golden banana (Kluai Hom Thong) from the Ban Khok Banana Community Enterprise Group in Sang Khom District, Udon Thani Province, Thailand. Despite its potential as an export crop and minimal disease or insect management issues, the group's products struggled to reach international markets due to lack of marketing opportunities, distribution channels, and proper packaging. The research aims to analyze and develop packaging and logos to test market potential for the group's products. Research design, data and methodology: Data was collected through questionnaires developed in conjunction with three printing and packaging design experts. Market testing involved 100 randomly sampled consumers of the group's products. Results: The new packaging design was perceived as more international, modern, and suitable as a souvenir for adults. Conclusions: Integrating ethnic elements and local materials into packaging design can enhance product appeal. For example, creating cloth bags from fabric scraps for carrying local woven products can impress consumers. This approach could help overcome market barriers and improve prospects for golden banana products in international markets while maintaining the intact ecosystem and environment of the production area. The study highlights the importance of effective packaging and branding in addressing market access challenges for local agricultural enterprises, potentially opening new opportunities for community-based businesses.
Purpose: The study aims to recognize the relationship between big data analytics capabilities, big data analytics process, and perceived business performance from supply chain management to total customer satisfaction. Research design, data and methodology: The study followed a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The data was collected from leading e-commerce companies in India using a structured questionnaire, and the data was coded and decoded using MS Excel, SPSS, and R language. It was further tested using Cronbach's alpha, KMO, and Bartlett's test for reliability and internal consistency. Results: The results showed that the big data analytics process acts as a robust mediator between big data analytics capabilities and perceived business performance. The 'direct, indirect and total effect of the model' and 'PLS-SEM model' showed that the big data analytics process directly impacts business performance. Conclusions: A complete indirect relationship exists between big data analytics capabilities and perceived business performance through the big data analytics process. The research contributesto e-commerce companies' understanding of the importance of big data analytics capabilities and processes.
Purpose: This study investigates the psychological mechanisms of comparison within the design context of retail stores, products, and advertising. The research aims to expand the understanding of comparison psychology, encompassing social, cognitive, perceptual, and self-comparisons and their application in design practices. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: The study employs a comprehensive review of psychological theories related to comparison psychology. They were selected through extensive research on literature pertaining to design psychology and consumer behavior. The research integrates insights from psychology, marketing, consumer behavior, and design theory, supported by various design examples of retail stores, products, and advertising, to demonstrate the practical applications. Results: The findings reveal that comparison psychology significantly impacts consumer preferences and user experiences. For instance, the assimilation effect and prospect theory highlight how comparisons shape value judgments and design perceptions. Practical examples are used to illustrate the profound influence of comparative judgments in design. Conclusion: The study advocates for a "psychologically-informed approach" to design, promoting designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing and functionally sound but also psychologically aligned. By bridging the gap between psychological theories and practical design implementations, the research provides valuable insights for designers, marketers, and psychologists, enhancing the psychological efficacy of design.
Purpose: This study aimed to examine the influence of private label cues, including store image, product design, price promotion, and origin image, on consumers repurchase intention by mediating consumption value from a distribution perspective. Additionally, it explored nationality's moderating role in the relationship between consumption value and repurchase intention. Research design, data and methodology: Drawing on the SOR model, data were collected from 246 consumers who had purchased private-label products in the past month. Structural equation modeling analysis was employed to test hypotheses using AMOS and SPSS. Results: Findings revealed that cues significantly impact consumers' perception of consumption value, influencing repurchase intention. Price promotion directly affected repurchase intention, while other cues indirectly influenced it through consumption value mediation. Nationality moderated the relationship between consumption value and repurchase intention, with Korean consumers showing a higher propensity to repurchase than Chinese consumers. Conclusions: Theoretical implications of the study contributed to understanding consumer behavior by confirming the impact of private label cues, elucidating their differential effects on repurchase intention, and integrating theoretical frameworks. Managerial implications underscored the significance of leveraging cues to enhance consumption value perceptions, tailoring marketing strategies to accommodate cultural nuances, and utilizing cues to bolster consumer repurchase intentions, ultimately enhancing distribution channel effectiveness.
Purpose: The aim of this study is to explore the psychological characteristics of users in mobile distribution channels (MDC) during mobile shopping. Research design, data and methodology: A conceptual framework based on shopping satisfaction theory was developed, leading to the proposal of a research model to examine the relationships between emotional control (EC), emotional practice (EP), prudential buying tendency (PBT), prudential buying urge (PBU), prudential buying behavior (PBB), and mobile shopping satisfaction (MSS) in MDC. To validate the research model, 125 survey responses were collected from mobile shoppers, and the relationships among EC, EP, PBT, PBU, PBB, and MSS were analyzed using the PLS structural equation model. Results: The empirical analysis revealed that EC did not have a significant impact on PBT, while EP had a significant effect on PBT. Moreover, PBT was found to influence both PBU and PBB, with PBU significantly affecting PBB. Finally, the study found that PBB significantly influences MSS. Conclusions: This study elucidates the relationships among EC, EP, PBT, PBU, PBB, and MSS, providing valuable insights for enhancing consumer shopping satisfaction in MDC. Practically, the study suggests various strategies for personalized and differentiated mobile customer management. Theoretically, it contributes to the field by stimulating further research on prudent purchasing behavior in mobile commerce.
Purpose: This study examines short-platform content that is becoming more popular on social media. This study investigates the relationship between short-form content experience, consumer participation behavior, and consideration set. Furthermore, the mediating effect on empathy factors was confirmed during consumers' experience with short-form content. Data and methodology: Prior studies were reviewed, and hypotheses were developed. Consumers who had watched and shared short-form content within the previous three months were targeted to achieve the study's goal. A structured questionnaire was used to conduct the survey. Results: First, users of short-platform content with practical, playful, and emotional value did not confirm a positive effect on consumer participation behavior. However,short-form content with social value positively impacted consumer participation behavior. Second, consumer participation in short-form content was confirmed to positively affect the consideration set. Third, in terms of the mediating effect of empathy factors, short-platform content with practical, social, and emotional values partially mediates consumer participation behavior, whereas short-platform content with playfulness value completely mediates consumer participation behavior. Conclusions: The results of this study have academic and practical implications for the recent marketing field. In particular, research has been conducted in the field of digital marketing, which has recently changed rapidly.
Purpose: This paper aims to reveal similarities and differences in behaviors in negative consumer-brand relationships. Thus, we focused on consumer motivation which includes intensity and direction of behaviors. The motivation for negative customer behavior has been discussed in the context of brand hate, but there is only limited research that has tried to measure it using quantitative methods. We are trying to measure customers' motivation in negative consumer-brand relationships and reveal the relationship between in-field customers' negative behaviors. Research design, data, and methodology: We adopt Reactive-Proactive aggression to measure the motivation of customers' behaviors in a negative consumer-brand relationship. Also, to reveal the relationship between in-field behavior and customer aggression, we survey Korean game communities to reactive-proactive aggression and behaviors, whether they participate, in each observed behavior during the serial negative consumer movements that occurred in the Korean game industry. As a methodology, we run multinomial logistic regression. Results: We observed 9 behaviors in this case, and we found that reactive-proactive aggression is related to participation and motivation of these behaviors. Conclusions: We suggest the potential of reactive-proactive aggression as motivation for customers' complex negative behaviors. Based on this potential, we hope reactive-proactive aggression could be used to reveal similarities and differences in behaviors in negative consumer-brand relationships.
