Abstract

Purpose: Research on attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) plays an important role in helping provinces attract more FDI projects. However, with local competition, FDI enterprises also have to consider their investment. This study evaluates the provincial competitiveness to attract FDI in Thai Nguyen province, a province of Vietnam. In which provincial distribution of competitiveness is measured through nine indicators. Research design, data, and methodology: The study collects data (FDI and the provincial competitiveness index) from 2006 to 2020. The study uses Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) to text the impact of distribution of competitivenes on foreign direct investment. With time-series, the ARDL is suitable for data analysis. Results: The regression results indicate that the competition index of market entry and informal costs negatively impact attracting FDI into the province; The human resource training quality index has a positive effect on FDI. The results show that FDI enterprises pay much attention to business establishment procedures, hidden costs, and quality of human resources in the province. Conclusions: At the same time, in terms of practice, the results of this study, the authors also offer solutions to help improve the ability to attract FDI into Thai Nguyen province. The significant provincial competitiveness indicators should be taken into account for improvement first.

Abstract

Purpose: Distribution competence plays a key role in supply chain management. A successful distribution system will bring high values and profit for company. Omni-channel is a modern type of distribution which is used by many companies to access customers more effectively. This research is about the influence of distribution competence on customer value creation, competitive advantage and business performance of retailers in omni-channel. Research design, data and methodology: Questionnaires were issued to 200 managers who have experiences in using an Omni-channel to provide consumer goods. PLS-SEM is used to check the relationship among these above factors in omni-channel in Vietnam context. Results: Distribution competence has positive direct effect on business performance. At the same time, it has positive indirect effect on business performance through the mediating role of customer value creation and competitive advantage. Moreover, the role of mediating variables make contribution to strengthen the relationship of distribution competence and business performance in omni-channel. Conclusions: Through distribution competence, retailers can get competitive advantage, create more values for customers and increase business performance in omni channel in Vietnam.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to enrich the literature related on Patronage intention in the context of omnichannel in Tunisia. It reveals the determinants of Patronage intention in the fashion retailer context by examining the roles of omnichannel integration quality (IQ), omnichannel perceived value (PV), flexibility, operational logistics service quality (OLSQ) and customer satisfaction. Research design and methodology: A quantitative online survey with 400 customers of fashion retailers was executed. A structural equation modeling approach was applied to test the research hypotheses using AMOS 25 and SPSS 25 software. Results: The findings show that the omnichannel integration quality, omnichannel perceived value, and operational logistics service quality affect play crucial roles in customer satisfaction. A positive relationship between flexibility and operational logistics service quality was also highlighted. And it is also found that a higher omnichannel integration quality led to a higher omnichannel perceived value in the omnichannel retailing context. Furthermore, customer satisfaction within omnichannel retailing can enhance patronage intention. Conclusions: This research adds to the body of knowledge in omnichannel retailing and presents a comprehension of the omnichannel system from the customer's point of view. In addition, this study provides practical implications for omnichannel retailers to improve customer satisfaction and patronage intention.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to understand the impact of e-commerce's advantage among SME's digital channel in Malaysia. To achieve the objective, this study used Technology, Organization, Environment (TOE) framework, Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory and Resource-Based View (RBV) theory. Research design, data and methodology: This study is quantitative method involve 195 SMEs online business in Malaysia. The integrated framework highlights the conceptual insight in multidimensional technology context (i.e. relative advantage, compatibility, and complexity); organizational context (i.e. top management support, innovation capability, branding capability, market-sensing capability, and human and organization capability); and environmental context (i.e. government support and supplier pressure). Results: The findings revealed that complexity, branding capability, human and organization capability, government support, and supplier pressure have significant positive relationship with e-commerce advantage. Meanwhile, relative advantage, compatibility, innovation capability, and market-sensing capability have significant negative relationship with e-commerce advantage. However, top management support has found no significant relationship with e-commerce advantage. Conclusions: The extended theoretical framework dimension improves existing knowledge on e-commerce advantage as well as the prospect of SMEs digital channel.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out whether it has a significant effect or not, the 5 hypotheses proposed include the Attitude toward behavior variable on behavioral intention, Subjective norm on behavioral intention, Perceived behavioral control on behavioral intention, Behavioral intention on behavior and Perceived behavioral control on Behavior. Research design, data and methodology: The data processing method in this study uses the SEM method based on Partial Least Squares (PLS), The study was conducted on 100 respondents as a sample. Results: Based on the results of data analysis, it is concluded that from the 5 hypotheses proposed, only 2 have a significant effect, namely the subjective norm variable has a significant effect, on behavioral intention and the perceived behavioral control variable has a significant effect on behavior while the other 3 hypotheses have no significant effect. The results of this study are expected to help the public to make decisions in utilizing the distribution of facebook marketplace. Conclusion: This study concludes that the distribution of the use of the Facebook marketplace is a subjective norm variable has a positive effect on the behavioral intention variable and the perceived behavioral control variable has a positive effect on the behavior variable.

Abstract

Purpose: This study identifies how twelve key success factors of distribution strategies for community enterprises in Thailand achieve higher performances. Research design, data, and methodology: The samples in this study were 400 entrepreneurs throughout the country. The instrument for data elicitation was a questionnaire. The descriptive and inferential statistics for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-Test, F-Test, multiple regression, and multiple correlations. Results: The results revealed that, overall, the samples showed high opinions on online distribution strategies in all aspects. In detail, the three highest factors were as follows: 1) electronic satisfaction, 2) product characteristics and electronic trust, and 3) the quality and success in online distribution. In detail, the three highest aspects of online distribution success were customer loyalty, financial performance, and work management, respectively. The online distribution strategies influencing community enterprises' success were electronic trust, electronic loyalty, social information, electronic satisfaction, and online distribution tools, which had a statistical significance of 71. Conclusions: This research has made an essential contribution to community enterprise entrepreneurs should focus on and adopt these 8P+4ODS concepts to increase sales, maintain brand loyalty of existing customers, get new customers, develop learning, and improve the working potentials of community enterprise entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Purpose: In the context of the emergence of industry 4.0, using mobile phones as a modern distribution channel to execute financial services is a significant solution for commercial banks' retail services and a gateway to promote financial inclusion and market development. Despite that service quality and customer satisfaction are two diverse notions and closely related to each other in the service sector, there is hardly a research which empirically examines the impacts of each dimensions of mobile banking service quality and customer satisfaction. Research design, data and methodology: This study first employs in-depth interview to explore various aspects of mobile banking service quality dimensions, including empathy, responsiveness, tangibility, assurance, and reliability that serves to develop measurement scales and hypothesis development. A quantitative survey is followed to collect data from 265 Vietnamese bank customers to empirically test the conceptual model. Resutls: Our findings indicate that more human-related factors including empathy, assurance, and responsiveness show the strongest impacts on customer satisfaction with mobile banking service while tangibility and reliability, as technical aspects, are less influential factors. Conclusions: Finally, some crucial implications are drawn for the banks to manage consumer behavior in mobile banking.

Abstract

Purpose: The work aimed to integrate and distribute the knowledge of marketing and chemistry for product development, in which individual packaging from water hyacinth was ideal. Research design, data, and methodology: A customer perception was surveyed to guide the preparation process, and eco-packaging preparation followed the perception study. The satisfaction with the packaging using the 4Ps was determined. Results: 159 samples participated in the survey to establish their perceptions. They perceived that eco-packaging was a friendly environment with a score of 4.47. The uses of chemicals and water were less. The design for other functions than a normal function of packaging was preferred. The pulping was done using 3.0 M NaOH. The natural additives of carboxymethyl cellulose (defibering) and corn starch (adhesive) were desired. The paper was characterized according to The National Standard of Kraft paper and was equivalent to the liner board. The prototype of packaging was fabricated as individual packaging. The marketing mix was used to survey 200 samples. The satisfaction with the product was the maximum at 4.53, while the minimum was on price. The online channel was preferred to access the product. Conclusions: Water hyacinth could be added value as eco-packaging that the qualities of pulp were equal to the Kraft paper. Individual packaging from water hyacinth was satisfied.

Abstract

Purpose: Online shopping festivals have quickly become the newest trend in online shopping worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has led to marketing distribution channels that traditionally emphasized traditional techniques having turned to electronic commerce platforms. Although the pandemic scenario encourages online purchasing, other factors, such as the influence of participation intention to shop during the Online Shopping Festival, must also be considered. Research design, data and methodology: Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis based on data from 121 respondents who are actively involved with online shopping activities in Klang Valley, Selangor. Results: The results of this study show that promotion categories and the perceived influence of mass participation have a significant influence on participation intention. Meanwhile, the perceived temptation of price promotion and perceived fun promotional activities did not significantly influence participation intention. Conclusions: Theoretically, this study contributes to the literature by using the Theory of Planned Behavior and Stimulus-Response models to explain the factors that drive participation intention for online shopping. In practice, this study attracts and encourages customers to shop during the festival day because various attractive promotions are offered by sellers in Malaysia.

Abstract

Purpose: The technology acceptance model (TAM) refers to a theory that maps the possibility or extent to which users can accept an innovative technology. The purpose of the current research is to investigate the mediating effect of TAM between online review and behavior intention for promoting golf app's distribution. Research design, data and methodology: In order to examine the relationship between app usage reviews, TAM, and behavioral intentions of golf app participants, the present author collected total 170 responses from South Korean participants based on web-based survey system. The main methodology which was selected by this study is mediation causality analysis that Baron and Kenny suggested. Results: The statistical findings definitely indicated that TAM mediating role exists between the positive emotion of golf app users regarding online reviews and positive behavior intention of golf app, which means that all three steps of mediation causality analysis were statistically significant. Conclusions: The present research concludes that the correct utilization of innovation in the design and implementation of the technology features translates into performance excellence. The model can be used to increase the online presence through innovation as a primary drive toward providing more convenience and accessibility to the users through mobile golf apps.

Abstract

Purpose: This article aims to explore the distribution of technological innovation and environmental policy challenges to respond to COVID-19. The study also attempts to tackle a paradigm shift in science and technology policies against the pandemic and a desirable direction for environmental policies. The COVID-19 pandemic has been the one that rapidly changed global people's lifestyle. For the spread of a terrible infectious disease could not be avoided, regardless of a highly industrialized society. Research design, data and methodology: This study basically employs a qualitative approach as a methodology. This study is based on the fact that environmental pollution, various natural disasters continuously occur, and there are many unforeseeable parts, despite remarkable development of scientific technology, and that the circumstances are becoming more complex. Results: This study noted that scientific technology civilization formed due to industrial revolutions can deteriorate environment and increase environmental threat factors. As an alternative to this, this study investigates alternative discussions on how the 4th Industrial Revolution can help scientific technology and human environment to harmoniously coexist and develop. Conclusions: It implies that this study focuses on the possibility of overcoming this crisis through science and technology innovation, although mankind is in crisis of COVID-19 due to excessive human development.

Abstract

Purpose: As moment-based marketing messages (i.e., messages related to current moments or event), companies put significant investments to distribute TV advertising related to external moments in a retail environment. While the literature offers strong support for the value of distributions of context-based messaging to advertisers, less attention has been given to how to design those messages to effectively communicate across channels. This research adds a new dimension of analysis to the study of advertising context and its cross-channel effects on online consumer behavior. Research Design, Data and Methodology: A system-of-equations Tobit regression model was adopted using data collected from an advertising agency that consists of 1,223 TV ads aired during the Rio Olympics and NCAA, tagging from consumers, and a text analysis. Results: First, TV ads with high centrality of context lead to lower online search behavior and higher online social actions. Second, how brands can design messages more effectively was explored by using product information as a moderator that could improve the impact of context-based TV advertisements. Conclusions: Given that expenses in traditional channels are still one of the biggest channel management decisions, it is critical to understand how consumer engagement varies by design of context-based TV advertising.
