Abstract

Purpose: The study aims to identify the key factors that influence consumers' propensity to utilize community group buying platforms, employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical framework. Research design, data and methodology: The research design involved selecting 192 consumers with experience in community group buying and analyzing the data statistically using SPSS 23.0. Hypotheses were tested utilizing the structural equation modeling software AMOS. Results: Key findings indicate that the attributes of products offered on community group buying platforms significantly enhance consumers' perceptions of usefulness and ease of use. Furthermore, these perceptions directly correlate with consumers' intentions to use the platform. Conclusions: This research, grounded in the TAM, delves into how external factors of the community group buying platform impact perceived usefulness and ease of use, and subsequently, how these perceptions affect consumers' purchasing intentions. Based on these insights, several recommendations can be proposed for the platform's development: The platform should strive to enhance product quality and cultivate a positive reputation. Strategic promotional initiatives should be designed to attract new users while retaining existing customers. Continuous optimization of platform functionalities is necessary to augment users' perception of usefulness. These measures are anticipated to foster user engagement, increase adoption rates, and contribute to the overall success and sustainability of the community group buying platform.

Abstract

Purpose: This study used the SOR model (or cue utilization theory) to examine the impact of expanded quality factors including product quality on customer satisfaction, attitude, and behavioral loyalty. This study examined the moderating effect of gender on the customer satisfaction-attitudinal and behavioral loyalty relationship. Research design, data, and methodology: 364 respondents were collected through an online survey and analyzed using the SmartPLS 4.0 program. Results: The findings show that product quality, along with system quality and service quality, are key determinants of customer satisfaction. In addition, this study shows that the relationship between customer satisfaction and attitudinal loyalty (repurchase and word-of-mouth intention) does not differ depending on gender, but the relationship between customer satisfaction and behavioral loyalty (share-of-visit and share-of-wallet) is stronger for women than for men. Conclusions: This research integrates concepts from environmental psychology and marketing focusing on website quality (information, system, service, and product), as well as satisfaction, attitudinal and behavioral loyalty. Online shopping mall practitioners must systematically analyze and assess the quality of online shopping, a pivotal factor driving customer satisfaction, attitude, and behavioral loyalty. Acknowledging the influence of gender on consumers' online purchasing behavior can aid online retailers in devising tailored e-commerce marketing strategies aimed at attracting and retaining customers.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of the current study is to highlight the drivers of corporate environmentally and socially sustainable performance among different players including airlines, caterers, suppliers and logistics companies in the flight catering supply chain. Research design, data and methodology: Based on a qualitative research approach this study employed in-depth semi-structured interviews exploring the drivers of corporate sustainable performance with management from major in-flight catering stakeholders (n=23) from the perspective of constructivism. Using the snowball sampling approach, interviewees were carefully chosen to represent a diverse range of supply chain contexts (airlines, catering, non-food suppliers, and logistics companies). Results: By focusing on the complex context of multiple supply chain partners, the study identified a range of complex relationships between the drivers of sustainable performance in the supply chain: firm-led drivers, factors influencing firm-led drivers, partial influencers, and additional factor, cost. Conclusions: This study emphasizes that some drivers do not play an absolute role and has highlighted that there is a need for companies to change the attitude, that is to pay more than ‘lip service’ to improving sustainable performance. This study develops a theoretical framework of the drivers of corporate sustainable performance, along with its practical industry implications.
