Abstract

Purpose: This study is aimed to introduce the application of phantom approach with structural equation modelling method for online learning. By integrating these innovative methodologies, the research seeks to advance the understanding of how the phantom approach can effectively complement and augment structural equation modeling techniques. Research design, data and methodology: A theoretical framework of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was modified and updated. A questionnaire was developed and used to extract information from 189 instructors who used online learning as their primary medium. The Covariance Based Structural Equation Modelling (CBSEM) was applied to test the direct effects and the phantom approach is used to handle the 2 mediators in the model. Results:social influence, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use exerted discernible impacts on instructors' intentionsto engage in online learning. These findings illuminate the intricate dynamics influencing instructor behavior within the realm of online education, underscoring the significance of various factors in shaping their intentions. Conclusions: In additions, the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use had mediated the effect of social influence and instructor intention using phantom approach. Therefore, one can have concluded that this modified model was also confirmed, thereby reinforcing distribution strategies to online learning and overall education presence.

Abstract

Purpose: This research delves into the various factors that influence the performance of restaurant businesses on social commerce platforms in Bangkok, Thailand. The study considers both internal and external factors, including but not limited to business characteristics and location. Moreover, this research also analyzes the effects of employing multiple social commerce platforms on business efficiency and explores the underlying reasons for such effects. Research design, data, and methodology: Restaurants can be classified into different price ranges: low, medium, and high. To further investigate, we employed natural language processing AI to analyze online reviews and evaluate algorithm performance using machine learning techniques. We aimed to develop a model to gauge customer satisfaction with restaurants across different price categories effectively. Results: According to the research findings, several factors significantly impact restaurant groups in the low and mid-price ranges. Among these factors are population density and the number of seats at the restaurant. On the other hand, in the mid-and high-price ranges, the price levels of the food and drinks offered by the restaurant play a crucial role in determining customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the correlation between different social commerce platforms can significantly affect the business performance of high-price range restaurant groups. Finally, the level of online review sentiment has been found to influence customer decision-making across all restaurant types significantly. Conclusions: The study emphasizes that restaurants' characteristics based on their price level differ significantly, and social commerce platforms have the potential to affect one another. It is worth noting that the sentiment expressed in online reviews has a more significant impact on customer decision-making than any other factor, regardless of the type of restaurant in question.

Abstract

This study investigates the organizational factors including firm size, adaptive capability, absorptive capability, innovative capability, and executive support to determine internet of things, production and services, and organizational performance. Research design, data, and methodology: A quantitative methodology was employed, involving the distribution of surveys to 460 employees occupying managerial and strategic roles. These individuals have accrued a minimum of one year of experience within 20 leading manufacturing and distribution companies in Thailand, each boasting a workforce exceeding 250 employees. Sampling techniques utilized encompass judgmental, quota, and snowball sampling. Furthermore, analysis of the data was conducted through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Model (SEM). Results: The findings indicate that factors such as firm size, adaptive capability, absorptive capability, and innovative capability exert significant influence on the Internet of Things (IoT). In addition, IoT significantly impacts both production and services. Furthermore, the study highlights the significant influence of production and services on organizational performance. However, the anticipated relationship between executive support and IoT lacks support according to the results. Conclusions: This study highlights the transformative potential of IoT for the manufacturing and distribution sector, paving the way for enhanced efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

Abstract

Purpose: Social media influencers (SMIs) have become significant sources of information influencing their followers' purchase intentions; few studies have been published on the effect of the number of followers and package tour prices on followers' purchase intention within the Vietnam travel industry utilizing na&#x00EF;ve theories. This study examined the relationship between the number of followers and purchase intention and tested the moderating role of package tour price. Research Design, data and methodology: A 2 (number of followers: high vs. medium) &#x00D7; 2 (package tour price: high vs. low) between-subjects factorial design was used. 395 Vietnamese students (114 men, 281 women; M<sub>age</sub> = 19.99, SD<sub>age</sub> = 1.25) from Thuongmai University participated in the study. ANOVA and PROCESS MARCO were used to test hypotheses. Results: Findings indicate that participants show a higher purchase intention for SMIs with a higher number of followers than those with a medium one. When the package tour price is high, participants with a medium number of followers show a greater purchase intention than those with a high one. Conclusion: This recommendsthat tourism managers collaborate with SMIs with a high number of followers when the package tour price is low and with SMIs with medium ones when the package tour price is high.

Abstract

Purpose: Achieving organizational effectiveness is the ultimate goal that every business entity or institution targets. To achieve this, organizations need to consider various factors that have an impact on their performance. This article analyzes the distribution influence of six main elements that have a central role in shaping sustainable organizational effectiveness, which are organizational culture, job satisfaction, interpersonal communication, talent management, knowledge management, and information technology. Research Design Data and Methodology: This research uses a quantitative approach, focusing on manufacturing companies located in Surabaya as the main object, involving twenty manufacturing companies as research targets, and 10 employees in each company. The sample selection process was carried out through the application of random sampling techniques. The analysis in this research uses the multiple linear regression method and uses SPSS version 26 software. Results: Distribution of six major factors used in this research are related to each other and contribute significantly to overall organizational effectiveness. Conclusion: Organizations that can combine the distribution of a positive culture, prioritize employee satisfaction, encourage effective communication, manage talent and knowledge efficiently, and utilize information technology wisely will have greater potential to achieve their goals and survive in the intensely competitive business environment.

Abstract

Purpose: The function of internal audit is to help achieve company goals and targets by minimizing the impact of business risks. The distribution of internal audit activities in carrying out control and supervision covers all aspects or activities at all levels of management. The aim of the research is to determine the distribution of risk-based internal audit effectiveness assessments in companies. Data and Research Design Methodology: Researchers examined research trends regarding things that could influence the distribution of the effectiveness of the internal audit function from 2007 to 2023.This research used a systematic literature review (SLR) research method. This research used 23 papers sourced from the Scopus database. Results: The distribution of the effectiveness of audit services provided by internal auditors is more influenced by the personal characteristics of internal auditors and has little to do with the leadership of the chief internal auditor, technology, and risk management. Conclusion: The distribution of monitoring services provided by internal auditors covers all levels of departments or divisions of the organization. The assessment of internal audit effectiveness is more influenced by the auditor's personal attributes such as independence, competence, and management support.

Abstract

Purpose: This paper aims to tackle the challenges and opportunities of cities' response to COVID-19 and provide cities with policy implications for better adapting to the post-pandemic era. Cities around the world are facing new challenges and have had to adapt to maintain social distancing measures while also addressing equity and social inclusion issues. Research design, data and methodology: The research methodology relies on an examination of existing literature, coupled with trend analysis employing discourse analysis to investigate post-pandemic urban resilience. The article also attempts to employ the concepts of adaptive urbanism and spatial flexibility and their potential to address these challenges not only in response to the pandemic, but also in the long-term. Results: The article explores the impact of COVID-19 on urban spatial structure through a public health lens and proposes actions that cities are able to take to enhance their resilience in the aftermath of the pandemic. Conclusions: It underscores the significance of reconstructing with improved distribution dynamics and provides valuable guidance for companies and policymakers on navigating these challenges. Ultimately, it also suggests that the pandemic has initiated a worldwide restructuring of urban planning, potentially leading to the emergence of smart cities grounded in science and technology.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to enhance airport service quality by examining their impact on brand image, advocacy, and mediating brand trust in the aviation service distribution sector. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: Using existing literature, we propose a structural model exploring the relationships between key components which are service quality, brand trust, brand Image and brand advocacy. An online survey, based on prior literature, was administered to 287 Koreans who have experienced using facilities or services at Incheon International Airport (IIA). Statistical analysis employed confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modelling (SEM). Results: Research findings show significant impacts of airport service quality on brand trust. Increased brand trust positively influences airport brand image and advocacy. Conclusion: The study emphasizes the aviation industry's potential to boost brand trust through improved airport service quality via users' interactions. Service quality is critical factors in building brand trust. The findings emphasize the critical role of service quality in fostering brand trust. It underscores the importance of user's satisfaction with service quality in fostering brand trust which can lead to brand image and brand advocacy. The aviation industry should formulate policies and strategies to enhance brand trust improved service quality, thereby improving brand image and brand advocacy.

Abstract

Purpose: The study aims to assess the current status of domestic public food delivery apps and analyze the process through which sellers choose between private delivery apps and public delivery apps. This involves exploring strategiesto achieve the original purpose of public food delivery apps, which is to enhance the small business owners income and promote consumer welfare by preventing the monopoly of private food delivery apps. Research design, data and methodology: the research methodology is based on a model that introduces adjustments for non-economic effects, considering the preferences of multi-homing consumers, to more realistically reflect the benefits of sellers' choices. For data analysis, real business performance data from 'Daeguro', 'Meokkaebi', and 'Somunnan Shop' were used. Results: The study revealed that if the market share of public delivery apps within a specific region increases beyond a certain level, the benefits for small-business sellers also increase. This leads to the strategic advantage of simultaneously using both delivery apps. Furthermore, the results exhibit a tendency similar to real social phenomena. Conclusions: This analysis confirmed the role of public food delivery apps in the domestic delivery app market and presents policy recommendations, including application integration and the implementation of exclusive public interest functions, to effectively fulfill this role.

Abstract

Purpose : Due to the uncertainty of the global trade environment and the trade downturn, the shipping industry continues to face challenges. This study aims to investigate in-depth analysis of crisis overcoming strategies through case study of a company that is leader in the shipping and logistics industry. Research Desigh and Methodology : In order to conduct an in-depth analysis, a single case analysis was selected as a qualitative study. For this purpose, various secondary sources were used, and indirect interview data were also used. In this study, Maersk was selected because it has grown from a traditional shipping logistics company to a digital platform company. Results: Maersk has transformed itself into a comprehensive, digital logistics platform with several key strategies to respond to the long-term slump in the shipping industry. First, it leveraged Maersk's diversification and portfolio optimization strategy. Second, Maersk is transforming its logistics and transport processes through digitalization and technological innovation. Conclusion: Maersk, which is responding to the long-term recession facing the shipping industry, looked at how it has leveraged its strengths and explored new opportunities through a number of strategies and changes. This study provides insight into a digital logistics platform that will benefit the other companies as well.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to explore the citizens' perceptions of the smart city distribution strategy and its impact on quality of life, classifying generations into two groups: Generation X with Baby Boomers, and Millennials with Generation Z. This study formulated research questionsto explore how both generational groups perceive the impact of smart city experience, government's role, technology development, economic, social, and environmental factors, and institutional improvement on quality of life. Additionally, this study explored the influence of quality of life on city evaluation, life satisfaction, and the expected growth of the city. Research design, data and methodology: This study employed an online survey conducted by well-known research organization. This study utilized factor and regression analysis for data analysis. Results: This study revealed that the impact of smart city experience, technology development and social value on quality of life demonstrated significance in both generational groups. Additionally, the study identified significant results regarding the influence of quality of life on city evaluation, life satisfaction, and the expected growth of the city. Conclusions: The findings suggest that, for the development of smart cities, stakeholders should particularly consider economic value and environment aspects, as these factors ultimately impact on quality of life.
