이 읽기 교정지도 프로그램은 학습부진아들을 대상으로 읽기기술이나 읽기 습관의 향상 뿐만 아니라 일반적인 학습기술이나 학습태도, 학습습관의 개선과 나아가서는 학업 성적을 향상시킬 수 있도록 도와 주기 위해서 개발된 것이다. 지금까지 소개된 읽기 교정지도 프로그램은 전체적인 학습기술의 하위기술로서 Robinson의 SQ3R을 고작 1-2회에 걸쳐서 실시하였으므로 효과에 있어서 의문이 제기 되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이들을 대상으로 이러한 읽기기술만을 집중적으로 실시할 수 있는 훈련 프로그램을 개발하고자 하였다. 그리하여 본 훈련 프로그램은 3부로 구성되어 있다. 제1부에서는 읽기기술인 개관하기(survey : S), 요점찾기(explore key words : K), 개요적기(write : R), 통합하기(reflect : R), 암송하기(recite : R), 복습하기(review : R)의 6단계인 SK4R의 원리에 대해서 소개되어 있고, 제2부에서는 각 단계에 대한 연습문제가 제시되어 있으며, 제3부에서는 정답이 제시되어 있다. 뿐만 아니라 본 연구에서는 이러한 프로그램의 실시에 도움이 되도록 훈련의 대상, 기간, 접근방법, 절차 등의 훈련방법 및 훈련 결과의 평가방법에 대해서도 자세하게 제시되어 있다.
The purpose of developing this remedial reading instruction program is to help the learning underachievementer enhance not only reading skills and habits but also study skills, study habits, and study attitudes, furthermore academic achievement through reading skills training. The programs of reading remedial instruction which have been introduced up to date almost have dealt with Robinson's SQ3R as a subskill of the whole study skills, for only one or two sessions. So I am going to develop this new program, in which students are trained in reading skills to enhance the reading comprehension intensively for more sessions. It was made up of 3 parts. Part 1 is about the principle of reading skills, which consist of 6 steps of Survey, Explore Key words, Write, Reflect, Recite, and Review(SK4R). And Part2 presents the exercises according to each step and there are the answers of part2 in part 3. In addition to these, training methods which include the selection of the subject, the terms of training, the training approach and procedures, and also the assessment of the training results are proposed.
