An Overlap study on Domestic Electronic Scholarly Journals between National Information Circulation Institutions

인터넷의 발전은 연구환경과 정보수집에 있어서 근본적인 사고의 틀을 변화시키고 있다. 본 연구에서는 변화하는 인터넷 연구환경에서 국내의 인쇄형 학술논문을 전자학술지로 변환하여 인터넷을 통해 일반이용자에게 서비스하는 국가 정보유통기관에는 어디가 있고 그 양은 어느 정도인지, 서비스되는 전자학술지에는 중복이 있는지, 그리고 과학기술 학문분야간 전자학술지의 서비스에는 차이가 있는지를 한국학술진흥재단의 과학기술분야 등재 및 등재후보 학술지를 대상으로 조사하였다. 주요 정보유통기관간 전자학술지의 중복서비스 현황과 문제점을 다양한 각도에서 제시하였다.

Abstract

Abstract The Internet has rapidly become a global publishing platform, and electronic scholarly journals covering a wide range of subject areas are now available via WWW. The purpose of this study is to investigate the production and delivery of electronic scholarly journals between national information circulation institutions, the degree of overlap in services between these institutions, and the degree of differences in terms of the amount of electronic scholarly journals between subjects in science and technology(S&T) areas. For the study, Registered and Register-Candidate scholarly journals designated by Korea Research Foundation in S&T areas are used. This study also provided some considerations for the services of domestic electronic scholarly journals between national information circulation institutions.
