국내 대학도서관의 해외 전자정보 구독 현황 분석
Analysis on the Electronic Resource Collections in Korea Universities

초록
국내 대학도서관의 경우 해외전자정보 도입이 88년부터 이루어져 오늘날 대다수의 많은 대학에서 웹 기반 형식의 전자정보를 구독하고 있으나 현재까지 대학도서관의 해외전자정보 구독 현황에 관한 분석 자료는 찾아보기 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 2003년 전국 4년제 대학도서관을 대상으로 실시한 「해외전자정보 구독 현황 및 수요 조사」결과를 근거로 국내 대학 전체의 해외전자정보 구독 현황인 구독 비용, 향후 예산, 구독 종수, 대학규모별, 학문의 주제분야별 등의 전반적인 구독 내용을 분석한다. 또한 향후 전자자원 수집 전략에 참고가 될 수 있도록 이러한 통계 자료를 몇 가지 상대적 비교가 가능한 수치와 비교한다. 첫 번째 내용으로 외국 대학도서관의 해외전자정보 구독 현황, 국내 분야별 학술연구자 분포, 국내 대학도서관의 인쇄 형태 학술지 구독 현황과 비교한다. 두 번째 국내 대학도서관이 구독하는 해외전자정보의 목록을 대학 규모별로 비교하여 대학규모별 특징과 중복도를 조사한다. 세 번째 국내 대학의 규모에 따른 해외전자정보 구독 현황이 외국의 연구 중심 대학과 학부 중심 대학의 전자정보 구독 현황과의 차이 및 중복을 비교한다. 이러한 상대적 비교 결과를 통해 국내 대학도서관의 해외전자정보 장서구성을 분석한다.

Abstract
Abstract Most university libraries in Korea have expanded the subscription of high-quality electronic resources in their amount and category, which are directly available to academic and research users via the web. Despite more than a decade's history, however, a lack of statistics made it difficult to get the overall pictures of electronic resources subscription status in Korea. The purpose of this study is to provide the analysis on nationwide statistics survey of how much money are spent on electronic resources, what kinds of subject resources are mainly subscribed, and how they are used and required by academic users, etc. Some comparisons are made with several factors that have effect on collection development of university libraries. This study will contribute to the future selection and subscription of electronic resources.
