Matrial Satisfaction a Relation Between Sex-Role Identity, Social Support and Daily Stress

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the marital satisfaction for working housewives(n=138) and to find how the sex-role identity, social support and daily stress affect on their marital satisfaction. The feminine and androgynous groups are similar numbers, the mascularity and undifferentiated groups are similar numbers in the sex-role identity. The rate of the feminine and androgynous groups are higer than the mascularity and undifferentiated groups. The feminine and androgynous groups reported higer marital satisfaction scores than the mascularity and undifferentiated groups. Between the feminine and androgynous groups does not have significantly differences. This study find out that social support is very important variable for the marital satisfaction among the sex-role identity, social support, and daily stresses.
