본 연구에서는 심리상담을 원하는 내담자들의 주요한 호소문제인 대인관계 문제를 평가할 수 있는 대인관계 문제 척도(IIP: Horowitz et al., 1988)의 한국판을 개발하고 그 심리측정적 특성을 살펴보고자 했다. 이를 위해서 IIP를 번안하여 259명의 대학생에게 실시한 결과, 높은 내적 일치도와 검사-재검사 신뢰도를 보였다. 요인분석 결과, 대인관계 문제를 구성하는 7개의 요인구조가 발견되었다. 또한 K-IIP의 총점과 요인점수를 간이정신진단검사, 대인관계 형용사 척도, NEO-인성검사 점수와 비교하여 상관분석을 한 결과, K-IIP는 신뢰할 만한 타당도를 지니고 있는 것으로 평가되었다. 아울러 본 연구에서 개발한 한국판 대인관계 문제 척도(K-IIP)의 이론적 합의와 활용방안에 대해서 논의하였다.
The aim of the present study is to develop a Korean version of the Inventory of Interpersonal Problems(IIP; Horowitz et. al. 1988) for measuring interpersonal problems which are main complaints of clients in counseling and psychotherapy. The IIP were translated into Korean and administered to 259 university students. The Korean version of IIP(K-IIP) showed high level of internal consistency and temporal stability. Factor analysis on the K-IIP indicated that 7 factor structure is most meaningful. The validity of the K-IIP was found to be satistfactory in that its total score and factor score were significantly correlated with the score of SCL-90-R, Interpersonal Adjective Scales, and NEO-Personality Inventory. In addition, the theoretical implications and practical use of the K-IIP were discussed.
