Development and Validation ofEmotional or Behavioral Problems Scale

Abstract

The purposes of this study was to develop a reliable and valid emotional or behavioral problems scale of the children. To achieve this goal, content validity was examined, and the factor analysis was executed. And finally the confirmatory factor analysis were executed and concurrent validity and reliability of the scale developed were examined. Emotional or behavioral problems scale was composed of 5 factors and 40 items were generated from factor analysis. The subscales of emotional or behavioral problems scale include difficulty in making relationships(9-item), attention deficit hyper activity(8-item), somatic symptom(9-item), undesirable expression of emotion(8-item), and aggressive behavior(6-item). Emotional or behavioral problems scale was positively related with trait anxiety, depression, worry, and self consciousness. And consistent reliability and spilt half reliability of this scale were considered good..
