본 연구에서는 여자대학생의 진로선택 및 진로결정과정을 진로장벽 변인이 잘 설명해줄 수 있다는 점을 고려하여, 이 장벽들을 지각하는 과정에서 학년, 전공과 같은 개인적 변인과 심리적 변인(진로결정수준, 내외 통제성)이 어떤 영향을 미치고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 895명의 여자대학생들을 대상으로 진로장벽검사, 진로결정수준검사, 내외 통제성 검사를 실시하였으며 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여자대학생이 진로장벽을 지각하는 정도는 여자대학생의 진로결정수준 및 내외통제성과 통계적으로 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 하지만, 학년 및 전공과 여자대학생이 진로장벽을 지각하는 정도간에는 유의미한 상관이 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 내적 통제경향을 보이는 여자대학생집단이 외적 통제경향을 보이는 여자대학생 집단보다 진로장벽을 더 적게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진로결정수준이 높은 여자대학생 집단이 진로결정수준이 낮은 여자대학생 집단보다 진로장벽을 더 적게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 여자대학생의 진로장벽 지각을 설명하는데 가장 기여하고 있는 변인은 진로결정수준이었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 선행연구와 관련지어 논의한 후 연구의 시사점과 제한점을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is co investigate the relationship of career barriers perceived by college women student and personalㆍpsychological variables. In this study the personal variable means grade and major and the psychological variables means career decision level and internal-external locus of control. The analysis showed the following findings. First, The career barriers perception and career decision level, the career barriers perception and locus of control showed a significant negative correlation, whereas grade and major didn't show a significant correlation. Second, the locus of control was compared with the degree of career barriers perception, the internal locus of control group showed lower level of career barriers perception than the external locus of control. Third, the career decision level was compared with the degree of career barriers perception, the group of low decision level showed lower level of career barriers perception than the group of high decision level. Fourth, it was found that the career decision level was the best contributing factor to explain the perception of career barriers. Based on the findings of the study, implication of career counseling of counseling women students was widely discussed with relation to the previous researches and the limitations of research were also discussed.
