본 연구는 Gresham 과 Elliot(1990)의 사회적 기술 평정 척도(Social Skill Rating System; SSRS)를 우리나라 대학생을 대상으로 사용할 수 있도록 하기 위해서 실시되었다. SSRS를 K-SSRS:대학생용으로 번안하고 신뢰도와 타당도 검증을 하였다. 이를 위하여 대학생 560명에게 K-SSRS:대학생용을 실시하였는데, 척도의 내적 합치도는 비교적 높은 편이었으며, 요인 분석 결과 서로 상관관계가 있는 4 요인이 추출되었다. K-SSRS:대학생용의 4 요인은, 공감, 협동성, 자기조절, 주장성으로 명명되었다. K-SSRS:대학생용과 적응 지표들과의 관계를 알아보기 위해서 97명의 대학생에게 K-SSRS:대학생용과 더불어, 우울감 척도, 고독감 척도, 자아상 척도, 대학 생활 적응 척도를 함께 실시하였다. K-SSRS:대학생용에 의해 평가된 사회적 기술은 우울감과 고독감에 대해서는 부적 상관을 보이는 것에 반해, 자아상과 대학 생활 적응에 대해서는 정적 상관을 보였다. 한국적 의미의 사회적 기술 척도 개발과 예방적 개입 프로그램에 대한 응용적 의미가 논의되었다.
This study explored the validity of the Korean version of the Social Skill Rating System-secondary level(SSRS-secon; Gresham & Elliot, 1991). The SSRS was translated into Korean(K-SSRS and administered to two samples of college students. And one sample of the subjects also completed CES-D-K, Loneliness Scale, OSIQ, SACQ. Factor analyses of the K-SSRS resulted in one general factor or four interrelated factors, 1 implying 'empathy', 2 'cooperation', 3 'self-control', 4 'assertion'. K-SSRS correlated negatively with depression and loneliness, and correlated positively with self-image and college adaptation. Implications of social skills in Korea, relation between social skills and adjustment and the planning of preventive intervention were discussed.
