본 연구에서는 청소년이 지각한 어머니의 자존감 평가영역별 중요도의 하위 요인에 따라 심리적 통제, 행동통제를 매개로 청소년의 자존감에 미치는 구조적 관계에 차이가 있는지를 탐색하고자 구조모형을 설정하고 모형의 적합도와 변인들의 영향력을 살펴보았다. 또한 본 연구모형에서 설정된 경로에 초․중․고 집단에 따른 차이가 있는지 확인하기 위하여 다집단분석을 실시하였다. 심리적 통제․행동통제를 매개변인으로 간접효과의 유의미성을 검증한 결과 어머니의 자존감 평가영역별 중요도 중 사회․객관적 능력, 긍정적 성품, 가족이 심리적통제와 행동통제를 매개로 하여 청소년 자녀의 자존감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 대인관계는 심리적 통제를 매개로 유의하지 않았고 행동통제에 정적인 영향을 미쳤으나 청소년의 자존감에 미치는 간접효과는 유의하지 않았다. 특히 사회․객관적 능력은 심리적 통제에 정적인 영향을 주었으나 행동통제를 통해 자존감에 미치는 간접효과는 부적으로 나타나 심리적통제와 행동통제가 사회․객관적 능력과 자존감 간 관계를 완전 매개함을 의미한다. 또한 긍정적 성품과 가족이 심리적통제와 행동통제를 통해 자존감에 미치는 간접효과는 정적인 것으로 나타나 긍정적 성품과 자존감 간 관계를 완전 매개하였다. 가족만이 자존감에 직접효과가 유의미하여 가족과 자존감 간에 부분 매개하는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 시사점과 후속연구를 논의하였다.
This study aimed to investigate the structural relationship and importance of maternal self-worth domains that affect adolescent self-esteem through psychological/behavior control. In the evaluation of self-esteem domains, the following sub-items effected adolescent self-esteem through psychological behavior control: ‘Social/Objective ability’, ‘Positive character’, and ‘Family.’ ‘Interpersonal relationship’ had a static effect on behavior control but did not affect psychological control or self-esteem. ‘Family’ exclusively directly affected self-esteem, so it could be interpreted that the psychological/behavior control is partially mediated by family and self-esteem. Based on these results, potential follow up studies are discussed.
