본 연구는 자기조절이론에 기반하여 대학생들의 진로목표에 대한 부정적 피드백과 진로목표이탈 및 진로목표재설정의 관계에서 인지, 정서 변인으로 진로목표불일치와 진로모호성의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 온라인 리서치를 통해 4년제 대학교 재학생 437명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 구조모형의 검증결과 부정적 진로목표피드백은 진로목표이탈 및 진로목표재설정에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았으나 진로목표불일치를 매개로 진로목표이탈에 간접적 영향을 미쳤으며, 진로모호성을 매개로 진로목표재설정에 간접적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 진로목표불일치와 진로모호성을 이중매개로 진로목표재설정에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 부정적 진로목표피드백과 진로목표이탈 및 진로목표재설정의 관계에서 인지, 정서 변인들이 영향을 미치는 경로를 확인함으로써 부정적 피드백이 어떻게 진로목표조절을 이끌어내는지 자기조절 과정에 대한 이해를 제공했다는데 의의가 있다. 또한 본 연구는 부정적 진로목표피드백과 진로목표조절의 관계에 영향을 미치는 인지, 정서적 변인에 대한 상담적 개입 뿐 아니라 적절한 진로목표조절의 중요성을 시사해준다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 상담적 의의와 제한점 및 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study was to test the mediating effect of career goal discrepancy and career ambiguity on the structural relations between negative career goal feedback and career goal disengagement and reengagement. Participants were 437 Korean university students, who completed online surveys. The results indicated that negative career goal feedback did not have a direct effect on career goal disengagement or career goal reengagement. However, negative career goal feedback had a fully indirect effect on career goal disengagement and career goal reengagement via career goal discrepancy and career ambiguity. These findings reveal the underlying mechanism (career goal discrepancy and career ambiguity) by which negative career goal feedback leads to career goal disengagement and reengagement. The implications for career counseling are presented.
