본 연구는 노인들이 경험하는 우울이 전문적 도움추구태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 사회적 낙인과 자기은폐의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이에 노인 330명의 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석을 위하여 SPSS 25.0을 사용하여 주요 변인들의 기술통계 및 상관분석을 실시하였고, 매개효과 분석을 위해 SPSS PROCESS Macro model 6을 사용하여 부트스트랩 방법으로 유의도 검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 주요 연구결과로는 첫째, 우울, 전문적 도움추구태도, 사회적 낙인, 자기은폐의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 각 변인 간 유의한 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 우울은 전문적 도움추구태도에 직접적인 영향을 주고있었으며, 사회적 낙인과 자기은폐는 각각 부분매개효과를 나타내었다. 셋째, 우울과 전문적 도움추구태도의 관계에서 사회적 낙인과 자기은폐의 이중매개효과를 확인한 결과, 사회적 낙인과 자기은폐를 순차적으로 거쳐 전문적 도움추구태도에 영향을 미치는 이중매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구의 의의 및 제한점과 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.
This study aims to investigate the dual mediating effects of social stigma and self-concealment in the relationship between depression and professional help-seeking attitudes in the elderly. A total of 330 elderly participants completed the survey. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0, with the verification of the dual mediating effect conducted through SPSS PROCESS Macro model 6, and significance confirmation achieved via the bootstrap method. The following are the key findings. First, a correlation analysis was performed to confirm the relationships between all variables. Second, social stigma and self-concealment had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between depression and professional help-seeking attitudes. Third, in the relationship between depression and professional help-seeking attitudes, social stigma and self-concealment showed a significant dual mediating effect. Drawing from these results, the study discusses its significance, outlines limitations, and proposes suggestions for future research.
