본 연구는 장애인 집단을 대상으로 한 참 만남 집단의 효과와 지속성에 대한 연구다. 본 연구에 소개된 집단 상담은 대구사회복지 공동 모금회의 2001년도 복지사업의 일환으로 대구에 소재 하는 제일 사회복지관에서 이루어진 것이다. 참가자는 제일 종합 사회복지관을 이용하는 장애인들로 개별적으로 집단 상담에 참여할 것을 권유하여서 참가하게된 사람들이다. 집단은 주 2회 집단이었으며 총 12회기였다. 총 상담시간은 30 시간이었다. 참가자들의 장애정도는 장애 1급에서 장애 6급까지 다양하였고, 연령과 성별도 다양하였다. 상담의 효과는 상담 전, 상담 종결 직후, 상담 종료 4개월 후 우울과 자존감을 측정하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 참가자들의 자존감은 유의미하게 증가하였다. 참가자들의 우울은 유의미하게 감소하였다. 추후 검사 결과를 포함하여 분석한 결과 자존감은 상담 종결 4개월 후 까지 유의미한 차이를 지속적으로 보였으나 우울은 유의미한 차이를 발견하지 못했다.
The purpose of this study was to examine whether a group counseling program about the handicapped has effects and their durability. The group counseling which we reported in this article is a welfare program of 'The Community Chest of Daegu' and conducted in 'The Family Welfare Association of Daegu'. The participants of group counseling were participated in the group counseling by social worker. Group counseling was held twice a week, 12 sessions, 30 hours. Handicap grades of participants were from 1st grade to 6th grade. Their age and sex were diverse. The group underwent tests(as it were Self-Esteem scale and Beck Depression Inventory) three times(pre/post/four month later). The results are as follows. The participants showed significant increase on Self-Esteem at right after the group counseling than before group counseling. The participants showed significant decrease on Depression at right after the group counseling than before group counseling. We analyze all(pre/post/later) test results. The results are as follows. The increase effect of Self-Esteem was significantly last four month later but the decrease effect of depression was not significantly last four month later.
