군 병사의 자살위험성을 사전에 파악하여 도움을 줌으로써 자살을 예방하는 일은 병사 개인뿐만 아니라 부대의 전투력 유지에 중요하다. 본 연구는 군 병사들의 자살위험성을 측정할 수 있는 척도를 개발하고 타당화 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 1차 예비연구에서는 군 병사 100명에게 개방형 설문을 실시하여 125개 예비문항을 제작하였다. 2차 예비연구에서는 상담전문가로부터 예비문항에 대한 내용타당도를 검증 받은 후, 80문항을 선정하였다. 3차 예비연구에서는 80문항을 870명의 병사에게 실시하여 46문항의 예비척도를 추출하였다. 4차 본 연구에서는 예비척도를 891명의 병사에게 실시하여 요인분석 한 결과, 4개 하위요인의 20문항을 추출하였다. 각 하위요인은 자살시도경험(6문항), 자살욕구조절(6문항), 자살계획은폐(5문항), 자살생각동기(3문항)로 구성되었다. 본 척도에 대한 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 본 척도가 양호한 모형으로 확인되었다. 본 척도 전체에 대한 신뢰도 계수는 .85, 4개의 하위요인들은 .69에서 .92사이로 나타났다. 본 척도와 우울, 절망감 및 자존감 척도 간의 상관분석 결과, 공인타당도가 양호한 것으로 확인되었다. 5차 추수연구에서 본 척도를 200명에게 실시한 결과, 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 .91로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 시사점 및 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.
This study was aimed to develop and validate the scale measuring suicidal dangerousness among military soldiers. In the phase 1, an open-questionnaire was administered with 100 military soldiers to generate 125 candidate. In the phase 2, the content validity of the pilot study was valuated by counseling experts. 80 items were selected. In the phase 3, the 80 items were administered with 870 soldiers to draw the pilot scale of 46 items. In the phase 4, the pilot scale was administered with 891 soldiers. Factor analysis yielded the final scale of 20 having four sub-factors: suicide attempt experience(6 items), suicidal impulse control(6 items), suicide plan concealment(5 items), and suicidal motive(3 items). In the follow-up study, this scale was administered to 200 soldiers. The test-retest reliability was .91. Finally, the implications, suggestions and limitations of this scale developed in this study are discussed.
