본 연구는 대학생의 아동기 외상 경험과 스마트폰 중독 간의 관계에서 시간관의 매개효과를 확인하여 대학생의 스마트폰 중독 감소를 위한 효과적인 개입 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대구·경북 지역의 대학생 748명을 대상으로 아동기 외상 경험, 시간관, 스마트폰 중독을 측정하는 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 다중매개분석을 통해 시간관의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 과거 부정적 시간관과 과거 긍정적 시간관, 현재 운명적 시간관, 미래 지향적 시간관은 아동기 외상 경험과 스마트폰 중독의 관계를 매개하였다. 현재 쾌락적 시간관은 스마트폰 중독에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나 두 변인 사이를 매개하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 아동기 외상 경험이 있는 대학생을 대상으로 스마트폰 중독을 감소시키기 위한 개입을 할 때, 과거 부정적 시간관과 현재 운명적 시간관을 감소시키고 과거 긍정적 시간관과 미래 지향적 시간관을 증가시켜주는 것이 효과적일 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 아동기 외상 경험과 스마트폰 중독 사이에서 시간관이 보이는 매개효과의 양상을 이해하여 대학생의 스마트폰 중독 문제를 경감시키고 예방하는데 어느 시간관에 초점을 맞춘 개입이 필요한지를 파악하여 보다 효율적인 개입 방안을 수립할 수 있을 것이다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the multiple mediation effect of Time perspective in the relationship between Childhood trauma and Smartphone addiction among university students to seek a solution for reducing their smartphone addiction. The participants were 748 university students and measured with SAPS(Smartphone Addiction Proneness Scale), K-ZTPI(Korean Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory) and CTQ-SF(Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-Short Form). To examine the multiple mediation effect, Parallel Multiple Mediator analysis was used. The result showed that, the mediation effect of Past negative perspective, Past positive time perspective, Present fatalistic time perspective and Future oriented time perspective between Childhood trauma and Smartphone addiction are significant, while Present hedonic time perspective is not signigicant. This result suggests that Time perspective can be used as a intervention to reduce or prevention the smartphone addiction for university students who experienced childhood trauma.
