본 연구는 서울 소재 고등학교 10개교의 2학년을 대상으로 담임교사와의 대화공감도, 학교생활만족도, 학업성취도, 학교계열, 성별 등의 학교관련 변인과 고등학생의 진로정체감과의 관계를 연구하였다. 층화군집표집을 통해 총484명이 연구대상이 되었으며, 진로정체감은 Holland, Daiger와 Power(1980)가 개발한 My Vocational Situation(MVS)의 정체감 척도를 김봉환(1997)이 번안한 것을 사용하였다. 담임교사와의 대화공감도는 Barrett-Lennard (1986)의 공감적 이해 척도를 이은경(1989)이 번안한 것을 참조하여 사용하였다. 분석결과, 담임교사와의 대화공감도가 높은 집단이 진로정체감이 높게 나타났고, 학교생활만족도가 높은 집단이 진로정체감이 높게 나타났으며, 학업성취도가 높은 집단의 진로정체감이 높았다. 일반계열 고등학생의 진로정체감이 실업계열 고등학생보다 높았고, 여고생의 진로정체감이 남학생보다 높았다. 다중회귀분석 결과, 학교관련 변인의 진로정체감에 대한 회귀식이 성립되었고, 대화공감도와 성별이 상대적으로 가장 큰 설명력을 가진 것으로 나타났다.
This study examined the differences of vocational identity perceived by 11th graders according to teacher's empathic communication, degree of satisfaction toward school, academic achievement, curriculums, and gender. In order to answer the research questions, cluster sampling with stratification was conducted among 11th graders from ten high schools in Seoul, South Korea (N=484). Vocational identity was measured by Holland et al.'s scale(1980). Teacher's empathic communication scale was made. High school students who had higher satisfaction toward teacher's empathic communication, satisfaction toward school, and academic achievement showed higher vocational identity. Academic high schoolers showed higher vocational identity than vocational high schoolers. Female high schoolers showed higher vocational identity than male high schoolers.
