최근 아동학대는 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 초등학교 5, 6학년 여아 229명을 대상으로 여아가 지각하는 가족 내에서 어머니로부터 받은 신체학대, 공격성, 아동기 비행간의 관계를 살펴보고, 이 과정에서 공격성이 개인의 내적 특성으로 내면화되어 매개역할을 하는지 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 사용된 심리평가척도는 신체학대척도, 공격성척도, 아동기 비행척도 및 인구통계적인 변인들에 관한 질문들이었다. 연구기간은 2005년 6월 30일부터 2005년 7월 7일까지였고, 분석에 사용된 최종 자료들은 SPSS WIN 12.0 program을 사용하여 기술통계분석, 상관 및 회귀분석, AMOS 구조방정식모형을 활용한 경로분석 등을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 신체학대, 공격성 및 아동기 비행간에는 유의한 정적 상관을 보였고, 신체학대가 아동기 비행에 영향을 미칠 때 공격성이 일시적 호기심을 제외한, 나머지 모든 아동기 비행의 하위요인들에 대해서 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 신체학대를 많이 경험한 여아는 어머니의 폭력을 공격성으로 내면화하여 아동기 문제행동으로 표출하기 때문에, 건강한 발달에 심각한 저해를 보일 수 있다는 것을 시사한다.
Recently the issue of the child abuse has been discussed as a serious social problem. This study examined the relations between mother's physical abuse in the family, daughter's aggression and behavior problem. Specifically, we investigated into a mediating effect of aggression with 229 female students of fifth and six graders of elementary. We conducted a Pearson's correlation analysis, Regression Analysis, and Path Analysis. The results showed that there were significant positive relations between physical abuse, aggression, and child's behavior problem. Daughter's aggression was shown to have a mediating effect in the relationship between mother's physical abuse and daughter's behavior problems. In addition, mother's physical abuse were shown to have a direct impact on daughter's behavior problems. In conclusion, we suggested that a daughter who were physically abused by her mother is likely to internalize her aggression, which affect directly and indirectly child's behavior problem behaviors and to negatively impact on her healthy and normal development.
