본 연구에서는 상담자의 문화적 겸손성을 측정하기 위해 Gonzalez, Sperandio, Mullen과 Tuazon (2020)이 개발한 다차원적 문화적 겸손성 척도(Multidimensional Cultural Humility Scale; MCHS)를 한국 상담자의 실정에 맞게 타당화 하였다. 이를 위해 연구 1에서는 심리상담 관련 전문 자격증을 소지하고 있는 상담자 206명을 대상으로 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하여 총 12개 문항, 3개 하위요인을 확인하였다. 하위요인은 ‘개방적인 자기성찰’, ‘자기인식’, 그리고 ‘탈자기중심성’으로 각각 명명하였다. 다음으로 연구 2에서는 상담자 218명을 새로운 대상으로 확인적 요인분석을 실시하여 연구 1의 결과인 3요인이 적절함을 확인하였고 하위요인에 대한 각 문항의 요인부하량과 요인간 상관으로 구인타당도를 확인하였다. 또한 다차원적 문화적 겸손성과 상황적 자기인식의 상관분석을 실시하여 수렴 타당도가 성립함을 확인하였고, 사회적 바람직성과 상관분석을 실시하여 변별타당도가 성립합을 확인하였다. 다차원적 문화적 겸손성이 작업동맹에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 구조방정식을 이용한 회귀분석을 실시하여 문화적 겸손성이 작업동맹에 미치는 영향이 정적으로 유의함을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 한계점 및 후속연구를 위한 제언에 대해 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study was to validate the Multidimensional Cultural Humility Scale (MCHS) developed by Gonzalez et al. (2020) for Korean counselors. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted on 206 counselors with professional certificates in psychological counseling, and a three-factor structure with 12 items was identified as a result. Next, a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted with a different sample of 218 counselors to see whether the three-factor structure of MCHS-K fit the data, and confirmed the construct validity via correlations between factors and item-factors loading for sub-factors. To verify the convergent and discriminant validity of MCHS-K, a correlation analysis with K-SSAS and K-SDS-9 was performed. In addition, a regression analysis using structural equations was performed to confirm that the effect of MCHS on WAI-S was positively significant. Finally, implications and limitations of this study, as well as suggestions for future research, were discussed.
