본 연구는 불안정 성인애착과 자살생각의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과를 살펴보았고, 정서조절이 이러한 매개효과를 조절하는 매개된 조절효과를 나타내는지 분석하였다. 이를 위해 만 18세 이상의 전국에 거주하는 일반 성인 493명을 대상으로 질문지 조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였으며 수집된 자료들은 SPSS 21.0과 SPSS Macro를 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 불안정 성인애착이 정서조절에 미치는 영향에 대해 우울은 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 불안정 성인애착이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 정서조절의 조절효과를 확인하였다. 셋째, 불안정 성인애착과 우울 및 자살생각의 매개모형에서 매개된 조절효과를 확인하였다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 불안정 성인애착이 높을 경우 우울의 수준이 높아져 자살생각이 야기되지만 정서조절이 자살생각을 축소시킬 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구는 불안정 성인애착으로 인해 자살생각을 가진 성인을 위한 구체적인 심리 치료적 개입의 근거 자료를 제공했다는 면에서 의의를 가진다. 마지막으로 이러한 연구결과에 대해 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 후속연구를 위한 제언에 대해 논의하였다.
This study examined the mediating effect of depression in the relationship between insecure adult attachment and suicidal ideation, and analyzed whether emotional control exhibits a mediating moderating effect that regulates these mediating effects. To this end, data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 493 adults over the age of 18 in Korea, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and SPSS Macro. The main results of this study are as follows. First, depression mediated the effect of insecure adult attachment on emotion regulation. Second, emotional regulation moderated the relationship between insecure adult attachment and depression. Third, the moderating effect mediated in the mediating model of insecure adult attachment, depression, and suicidal ideation. These findings suggest that high level of insecure adult attachment increase depression, leading to suicidal ideation, but that emotional regulation can reduce suicidal ideation. This study is significant in that it provided evidence for specific psychotherapy interventions for adults with suicidal ideation as a result of insecure adult attachment. Finally, the significance and limitations of this study, as well as suggestions for follow-up studies, were discussed.
