지식순환과정과 지식스키마를 고려한 지식경영시스템 성과 및 수용에 관한 연구

최근 많은 기업에서 지식경영시스템 (KMS)을 도입하여 경쟁력 강화를 위하여 많은 노력을 경주하고 있다. 그러나, 지식경영시스템이 갖는 특징은 단순한 정보시스템이 아닌 ‘지식’이라는 기업내의 무형자산과 관계된 또 하나의 ‘정보 무형자산’으로서의 특징이 많다. 그렇기 때문에 지금까지 지식경영 연구문헌에서 보여 주었던 정보시스템적인 관점만을 가지고 지식경영시스템을 접근하는 것은 해석상 많은 오류를 낳을 가능성이 크다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구에서는 지식순환과정과 지식스키마 라는 새로운 컨스트럭트를 소개하고, 해당 컨스트럭트가 통계적으로 지식경영시스템의 성과에 어떻게 영향을 미치고, 또한 조직구성원들에게 어떻게 수용되는지를 검증하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 제시한 연구모형을 검증하기 위하여, 우리나라의 대표적 KMS를 운영중인 한국자산관리공사의 K-Wings라는 KMS를 사용하는 886명의 사용자로부터 설문지를 회수하여 분석하였다. 실증 분석한 결과 지식순환과정과 지식스키마라는 두 컨스트럭트는 KMS의 성과향상과 아울러 조직구성원들로 하여금 KMS를 수용하도록 하는데 큰 기여를 한다는 것이 확인되었다.

Abstract

Recently, a great deal of corporations have adopted knowledge management system with eagerness to enhance the company competitiveness. However, since the main feature of knowledge management system is not just a simple information system but another entity creating intangible assets called “knowledge”, we need to develop a new approach to investigating the performance and acceptance of knowledge management systems from a perspective allowing knowledge-sensitive constructs. In this regard, we develop new constructs like knowledge schema and several knowledge circulation-related activities. As a research model, we adopt a famous technology acceptance model or TAM by Davis (1989), and extend it into incorporating knowledge schema. With the statistically valid and usable questionnaire survey data collected from 886 respondents in a big corporation typically using knowledge management system, we induced a robust result empirically, saying that knowledge schema and knowledge circulation activities are valid determinants of performance and acceptance of knowledge management systems.
